This started off in a প্রশ্ন format but turned into a rant. I'd still like to be illuminated as to what exactly people are referring to when they talk about "elites", though.

It seems that I were a businessman, born into privilege, making billions off the backs of the working class, stiffing contractors, avoiding tax, entrenching inequality - yet espousing bigoted মতামত - I'm somehow a "champion" of the ordinary person and "in touch" with the populace.

However if I happen to have a law degree and hold socially progressive মতামত - wanting healthcare even for the least fortunate, a competent...

I want to frame a letter I wrote to my Trump supporting অনুরাগী on Facebook. I know them personally, and I know many ফ্যানপপ Trump supporters well enough to realize that they are rational, empathetic individuals. People who are not racist, xenophobic, অথবা misogynistic.

They clearly did NOT vote for Trump for these reasons. No, not at all.
