জীবন্ত is just japanese cartoons, but i think there is a large difference.

জীবন্ত is Japanese animation,while কার্টুন are Western animation. They're the same. Except জীবন্ত is Japanese and কার্টুন are Western.

i think of them as different. both words could be used interchangeably if one wanted to though, as they really mean the same thing. in Japan, "anime" is simply the word for animation, which would apply to Japanese অ্যানিমেশন as well as western cartoons. outside of Japan, "cartoon" could be used for both of these as well. but i prefer to use the connotations of জীবন্ত = Japanese অ্যানিমেশন and cartoon = western animation.

as for whether Japanese অ্যানিমেশন and western অ্যানিমেশন are the same, no! for one thing, it's easy for an adult to be a অনুরাগী of anime, and yet think they're too old for cartoons. i'd prefer that they be judged separately. but for those not in the know, what are আপনি going to do?

that is soooo true, জীবন্ত should never be mistaken for cartoon, I mean even if some কার্টুন look like animes I can still see the difference

besides the drawing between an জীবন্ত and a cartoon r totally different

কার্টুন are আরো childish and most of the times they are for laughter and enjoyment.
But জীবন্ত covers large number of Genres like Fantasy, Sci-fi, Fighting, Romance, Slice of Life and much more! And it teaches us various things and its আরো realistic! ^^

জীবন্ত ARE cartoons. Pretty much.
I mean "anime" is the Japanese for cartoon/animated প্রদর্শনী whatever, so that technically yes theyre the same.

Okay i need to explain it:

1. if u watch for ex: Inuyasha, Naruto,Clannad অথবা whatever tell me are they কার্টুন and জীবন্ত so of course its the same!

2. why so frustrated? while cant tell the difference of জীবন্ত and cartoons? No, nodon't be bcuz কার্টুন sometimes are actually জীবন্ত and জীবন্ত sometimes have কার্টুন to.

3. Ex: Black Butler | what happens if u like sebastian অথবা even Ciel-kun are they কার্টুন then they're also জীবন্ত | জীবন্ত - কার্টুন / কার্টুন - জীবন্ত get it?.!

4. Tell me Ed ,Al ,Sebastian, Ciel, Nagisa ,Usui ,Yui,Ui ,Mio ,azusa, ritsu and so on they are কার্টুন right but PPL are saying they are জীবন্ত but actually the জীবন্ত are cartoons

5. Ok,Fine sometimes জীবন্ত are real like but ex: ডিজনি channel they are কার্টুন right? but ex: এনচ্যান্টেড they are real like right? so its the same thing as জীবন্ত and কার্টুন also do আপনি understand Mino1234????

6.So জীবন্ত is Japanese animation.

For me, অ্যানিমেশন is animation; however, the styles it can be done in vary infinitely. জীবন্ত is a type of cartoon, with only the cultural background causing a difference in how it's done and made. Western অ্যানিমেশন is another style of cartoon. There are good and bad versions of both, and are the কার্টুন of the culture.

It's really just the same word in a different language; why else would people define "anime" as "Japanese cartoons" when trying to explain it to others?

জীবন্ত is cartoons. Just Japanese cartoons. জীবন্ত is a type of অ্যানিমেশন and they are described as Japanese কার্টুন when defining the term so yea they are কার্টুন and anyone who thinks otherwise is not thinking about this logically in any matter that is good. People like to separate জীবন্ত from কার্টুন and other types of অ্যানিমেশন but they are in fact Japanese cartoons. End of story. If আপনি try to tell me otherwise I will conclude আপনি are being delusional and cannot be reason with. Others have stated the same thing and btw if আপনি get that upset over such a trivial thing আপনি really need to chill out.
