What is your personal definition of an otaku?

Well, I dislike the term otaku tbh. It's a negative term overall, plus whenever I think of it I think of the link which is just,, ,, horrible and disgusting (just gonna put a major warning on the link but if আপনি want to read it,,,)

So, I'll use the term I use, "Anime Fan". To be one, আপনি have to (wait for it...) enjoy watching anime. Big জীবন্ত Fans? They enjoy watching a lot of anime, অথবা they watch a regular amount and enjoy those shows a lot.

Easy enough, right?

I guess Otaku is an জীবন্ত and জাপানি কমিকস মাঙ্গা big fan,yeah i'm an Otaku

For me, saying that one is an otaku is saying that আপনি are dedicated to anime. Not to be confused with "Weeaboos" (the negative versions of otaku in my opinion), I find that otaku are people who basically live and breath anime. They collect merchendise, watch an extensive amount of anime, draw অনুরাগী art, write fanfiction, etc. As an otaku myself, I don't really think of it as derogatory and actually am pleased when someone calls me an otaku. I know some would take it as being too obsessed and losing touch with reality, but for me, being an otaku just means that you're dedicated and care very strongly about your fandom.

Hmm.. I learned the term 'otaku' from a friend who I'd called an 'anime freak' and he ব্যক্ত he preferred the term 'otaku'. In জাপান though, an otaku is pretty much a bad thing. Watch Ouran High School Host Club and Kaichou Wa Maid-sama and you'll see evidence of this.
I like calling myself an otaku though, because being an otaku doesn't necessarily have to mean জীবন্ত oriented. An otaku loves anime, and wants a Japanese name to go with their love, like MLP প্রেমী are known as Bronies and Pegasisters.

Basically an EXTREME জীবন্ত fan

Wel I heard Otaku is used to refer to people who have no social life and have a weird obsession about something and it's called otaku because taku means প্রথমপাতা in Japanese and if আপনি are an Otaku আপনি almost never leave your house.

I know it is really negative xD

But I like to call myself otaku because I don't think it is a negative word.. and আপনি can just use it to say আপনি ar an জীবন্ত অনুরাগী (because almost everyone does that)XD
