Blue Exorcist has an okay story, I watched and enjoyed it. I'd probably give it 3 stars. I liked some of the characters, but none of them would make top favorite lists. Not many of them stood out for me.

D.Gray-man had a decent story and an even better one by the manga. A lot of the characters stand out for me and I enjoy many of them. They are all beautiful and well put together.

You should read Blue Exorcist. It's awesome. XD
It gets way darker than the anime does. Especially with Mephisto...oohh....I love him. <3
