she was brave <333...This is the first time I am ashamed to be a Morgana fan... anyone who picks her should feel ashamed, it's like you're pro bullying.

Angel's acting was superb, but since we're voting character and not actor, I'm going with Meriln.

My poor sweetheart Queen- I was so disturbed by her plight in this episode. She was so strong, despite the disgusting psychological (and physical- being tied up and pulled by a horse is horrific) abuse and torment, and fought hard. My heart broke for her.

My Queen. She dealt with the worst abuse that we've seen on this show. Being dragged behind a horse like an animal for hours, being locked up in a dark room with hundreds of mandrakes (it only took one to drive Uther over the edge), hearing people screaming in agony for hours, and seeing visions of her loved ones, who she was counting on to save her, laughing about her plight or in Merlin's case, attempting to scare her even more. And yet she still resisted Morgana's attempts to break her. And from what I've heard even after all those days of torture she still wasn't broken and Morgana had to use powerful magic to take over her mind. So I'm very proud of her. Even if Morgana had managed to break her, I still would have been very proud of her. Not many people can go through this kind of ordeal and still remain whole. For me personally, I think being dragged behind a horse for hours would have done me in.

Gwen was so brave and didn't take none of Morgana's shit! Go Queen, go!

It is Gwen and Arthur equally in this episode. Since I picked Gwen on the other spot, I am picking Arthur here. Gwen was strong and courageous in hard times. Arthur was sick with worry and so realistic.

I picked Gwen (though Arthur was second) because she did so well to try and not give in to the extreme torment Morgana put her under. I got so annoyed when I saw people saying that Gwen gave in too easily because the whole episode Gwen remained strong though she was slowly falling a part.

It was both the king and queen for me. My heart was broken for them both. So I pick the queen because watching her suffer broke my heart a little more. And as BB said, I was so proud of her that her resolve wasn't broken. I was hurting for her in the midst of her agonies, but at the same time her courage was something to behold.

I'm not afraid of the evil!Gwen destroying her character at all. At some point and time all of the good characters have been abused by having their agency taken away and evil didn't prevail. We know that even though hers will last through two whole episodes, and a part of two others, we'll see the real Gwen again and she won't be tarnished after that. She'll have four episodes left to be the queen we know and love.

I picked Gwen, Morgana couldn't break her mentally, and at the end had to use magic to enchant her into subjugation. Did you see the look of surprise on Morgana's face when she came for Gwen thinking that she had break her mentally and Gwen said I want no part in your game. Morgana look surprise that Gwen still had her free will, that's when she had no choice but to use magic on Gwen.

From what I recall of the episode 8 synopsis, we don't see much of Gwen. She wasn't really mentioned. So really (maybe) it's only one tiny bit of an episode, one full one and one almost-full one.

Was there even a choice really? Ooooooh I love it, Kim. We disagree. This is fun.

Now I am curious, why Merls? Genuinely curious. LOL.

As I said, Angel was off the chain. But character-wise, Merls was my boy. I like take-charge Merlin. He stepped up and got it done.

I'm not discounting Gwen at all, I loved that she refused to let Morgana break her. I really did.
