She's still amazing anyway. I imagined her getting teased a lot when she was younger and saw her as a loner in her teens. What made her go absolutely crazy, I have no idea.

I don't think it was really bad, nor do I think it was fantastic.
I'd say she mainly got spoiled...after all she was the first-born of an ancient pureblood family. But on the other hand there was a lot of pressure from her family...she had to meet high expectations. I think she was quite close to Narcissa during their childhood. She might've had some trouble with the fact that her sister and cousin were out of norm.

But that's all just speculation...
