Meg was pacing up and down her cell. She had asked Anna to get in contact with Craig Smith. They had to talk about a new strategy.
Finally a guard came to bring her to the visitor’s room. If it were up to her she’s be running to it, but the guard held her too tight.
“There’s something different about you” Craig noted immediately when Meg sat down. “Something about your eyes. The past couple of days আপনি looked afraid, other times indifferent. Now I see a spark of militancy. What changed?”
“The truth” Meg replied short. “I know what happened. I know who I am. I know who Cas is and I know he’s alive. I need to see him”
“Cas is in a coma” Craig informed her. Meg blinked and looked away. “I’m sorry” Craig added. Meg shook her head. “All the আরো reason for me to see him”
Craig lay his hands on the table. “Meg, you’re being accused of murder. How are আপনি going to talk yourself out of that?”
Meg shrugged. “I’ll just tell them the truth”
Craig raised his eyebrows. “And what is the truth?”
