Depends on why you don't want to have anything to do with your family.

There are certain circumstances where it is necessary to separate yourself from your family... one being they are holding you back from your faith and from fulfilling God's plan for you. If they refuse to accept Christ or do not support your doing so, it is acceptable for you to leave them and turn to your spiritual family, aka, the church.

Some families just do not provide a healthy environment you should be a part of.

The bible speaks very highly of family, even saying that it is a horrible thing to abandon family. But i hope that God understands what kind of people they are.

It's never right to abandon anyone, but the Bible speaks of the importance of being evenly yoked with the people around you and in keeping in good terms with them for your own part. If your views/ faith vary that much to where you can't coexist peacefully with others (even family), the Bible also tells us that you should part with them as friends.

What if someone were being abused? If it's not a safe environment for the child, they shouldn't have to live with that family. Also, there's a difference between not wanting anything to do with your family and hating your family.

Like those above me have said, there are certain situations - like abuse, drug use, criminal activity (etc) - when separating yourself from family is necessary. It's important to always pray for them and forgive them for the things they've done that lead you to pull away, but God never decreed that Christians have to keep themselves in dangerous situations. Sometimes leaving is a greater act of love than staying.

If someone doesn't listen to their parents, it is required that the men of the town stone them to death.

I remember lots of times in the bible where it is said not to associate yourself with bad people, and if you have a hand that causes you to sin, cut it off.
If i listened tp my mom, i'd probably be dead. So i guess because of that rule, i'll dies either way.

If they're dicks no one's forcing you to stay with them. God'll want you to be happy, right?

Christ told some to leave their families behind

Well the bible says honor your mother and father, however with that if they are doing something that is not holy or very so against God I can understand someone having a separation from them.

Can say completely yes and can't say completely no, so i am neutral

What if your family is full of serial killers and you're the only sane person? What then?

Since my family is made up of crazed degenerates that i have to avoid to preserve sanity, that was my reason for asking this.

What about if your family is horrid?
