Critical Analysis of Twilight In Defense of the Imprinting...?

Can anyone direct me to an argument that defends/justifies/etc. the imprinting, specifically of Claire and Renesmee? And something more than "they can't control it," because the author totally controls the amount of normalized pedophilia in her books... theoretically. Has SMeyer ever defended it in an interview or something?

I just posted a new article that explores the childhood that I believe is in store for these girls. I'm really interested to hear another point of view. Or is this just one of those rare things that everyone unites to hate?

Imprinting is discussed in the last 3 paragraphs if you're interested.

Nope, they're all 'They can't control it' or 'It's love!' or 'She doesn't HAVE to have sex with him! She can choose! but I'd totally do it, who wouldn't?' or 'Wow, you people are so stupid! IT'S TRUE LOVE!'
