A Fan's Response to 'People Hating On Ian'

Hi,

The লেখক of 'People Hating on Ian' has adopted the notion that opinions diverging from her own are nothing আরো than disgruntled attacks. I disagree.

We're all TVD অনুরাগী and we can agree that we all প্রণয় the প্রদর্শনী to a fault. In fact, I think TVD অনুরাগী are some of the most passionate অনুরাগী out there and quite frankly, that's great; but I don't want to see that passion manifest itself into something its not. I don't want to see it manifest into this accusatory system pitting one faction against the other. Trust me, it isn't necessary. A lot of us (including myself) can do a lot better than that.

Anyway, where was I...expressing one's displeasure with an actor/actress' past performances অথবা a character's past transgressions is not an admission of hostility অথবা hate but a way in which one can express their feelings about the সামগ্রিক direction of the show/characters. Many of us, including myself, may use unorthodox methods to get that message across but in no way is it indicative of some deep-seeded hostility towards the actors themselves.

Please keep that in mind when addressing statements, posts অথবা প্রবন্ধ দ্বারা other অনুরাগী (or দ্বারা me for that matter). Speaking of which, a link to a Bamon প্রবন্ধ may give readers (within this forum) the impressions that something foul is afoot. I'm here to assure আপনি all that none could be further from the truth. The প্রবন্ধ and the উত্তর it received are nothing আরো than expounded opinions.

INLOVEWITHDAMON Firstly I would like to thank you for being respectful. Secondly I would like to once again elaborate on the fact that my frustration was not JUST based on that article. There was a whole different kind of drama on twitter yesterday regarding Ian as well. If other people chose to bring that article in the discussion that's their business, and it's separate from my thoughts. I never called out any individuals. You say it's not hostility towards the actors, but I say that's exactly what it is. Placing blame on the actor who doesn't share your view is wrong in my opinion. I think it was just yesterday when I saw someone here call JP a bitch and I asked them not to do that. I don't like it when any shippers try to place blame on the actors and writers, especially the actors, considering they have no control over what happens in the show. It's like people sending hate tweets to Kat after "Isobel" all over again. Anyway I understand that you don't agree with my premise so I'm not going to try to convince you of otherwise.

ducky8abug @Katie15: Yes, guilty as charged. I called all DE fans 'obnoxious little freaks.' I thought it was the best tactic against some unwarranted comments in a S/E thread. Not my finest moment, but none that could be helped at the moment. Anyway, thank you for reading and please keep in mind that we're all here to celebrate the awesomeness that is TVD.

ducky8abug @INLOVEWITHDAMON: I'm always respectful, even when appearances prove false. Anyway, your take on the article is a matter of interpretation. When we express our thoughts, some rely on emotion while others use objectivity. I lean towards the latter. I read that article and interpreted it as the author's displeasure in Ian's performances. Her article and subsequent replies revealed that she was displeased with Ian's past performances. She thought his performances were not as passionate in Season 2 as they were in Season 1. If you go back and re-read not only the article but the replies she received as well as her responses, you'll note that her answers correlate with what I am posting now. In fact, if you'd like, you are more than free to re-direct your attention to that article and review past statements. I guarantee there is nothing ingenious or hostile about it.

why season four has been the perfect timing for delena to happen .... first I want to say that I've never read the বই so when I started to watch the প্রদর্শনী I had no idea what it was about and it didn't occur to me that a প্রণয় ত্রিভুজ wil be formed.. especially one that includes the heroin and the "villain". as the প্রদর্শনী went on I never bought the relationship between Stefan and Elena it was based on lies and secrets, and it was too rushed that I didn't see the " falling in প্রণয় " part ... at the same time I started to see Damon and Elena as বন্ধু , they started to earn each others trust...

I am in প্রণয় with Vampire Diaries. I asked myself why the Elena from the TV প্রদর্শনী is so different from the Elena from the books. In the books, Elena is a spoiled highschool কুইন at the beginning of the story and stays very bossy throughout the books, while Katherine is a docile and obedient Renaissance girl, until she becomes insane. After watching the amazing "I remember everything" 4x01 scene and Damon's awesome speech defending his decision to save her first, even if Matt had died, something has been playing on my mind that I wanted to write about and share with you.
Elena's logic about Stefan respecting her because he listened to her, whereas Damon is selfish and couldn't let go doesn't make sense.

I think there are a multitude of purposes behind Damon not getting the girl...yet. First of all, she still has feelings for Stefan and their relationship problems this season have been over what Klaus did to Stefan and the effects it had on his character, not because of the relationship itself. The very first episode of the Vampire Diaries that I saw was the সেকেন্ড episode of the first season. I did not ship Delena the মিনিট I saw them together. I shipped Stelena first.
