Spike Chunsoft, best known as the Japanese developer of the Danganronpa and Zero Escape series,
announced today the establishment of a North American subsidiary. Spike Chunsoft\'s new branch will be located in Long Beach, California and will handle all publishing and localization efforts for the company\'s games. The subsidiary will also tackle the publishing of titles from MAGES, Inc., the developer of properties like Steins;Gate and Chaos;Child.
The parent company is Spike Chunsoft Co., Ltd, and the subsidiary will be Spike Chunsoft, Inc. Spike Chunsoft president and CEO Mitsutoshi Sakurai will retain that role for the North American arm.
"Ever since our merger in 2012, we at Spike Chunsoft have dedicated ourselves to creating fun and unique titles. Our world today is more connected than ever - we can play games with people across the globe and exchange information in multiple languages instantaneously," said Sakurai in a statement. "But even as information is more easily shared, the world still holds a wealth of undiscovered entertainment. As Spike Chunsoft, it is our goal to cultivate this potential into something new and memorable that transcends time, genre, and nationality."
"Until now, our titles were produced in Japan and distributed worldwide by our business partners. But given how the instantaneous speed of information has become the norm, we believe that communicating with our overseas audience directly is a new avenue for us to create joy," he added. "Spike Chunsoft, Inc. connects us with our fans and their passion to producing more of the fun and unique titles the global community has come to expect from us. We can\'t wait to say \'Hello, world!\'"
Spike Chunsoft will be revealing more information at the 2018 Game Developers Conference in March. During the event, the company will hold an invite-only showcase for the company\'s global plans.

Great news that means they are hopefully health and will continue to bring more games outside of Japan.
Well I guess this explains the upcoming 428 localisation. And I suppose increases our chances of getting upcoming stuff like Zanki Zero (although NISA and Aksys have civered most kf the recent stuff). I assume this means PQube are losing the SciAdv games too, unless they are being kept for European publishing...
