Local filming is about to begin on the Daniel Radcliffe thriller, Jungle.
have returned to Australia with filming set to commence on the Gold Coast next week.
Principle photography began in Columbia with the crew, including A-list star Daniel Radcliffe, filming for a month in the South American country.
Crew are already preparing for the Gold Coast shoot and key cast members are expected to begin arriving soon.
Film makers are keen to keep Radcliffe\'s movements tightly under wraps to prevent disruption to filming but producer Todd Fellman did say Radcliffe\'s performance in Columbia was impressive.
"He did some really amazing work in Columbia," he said.
The film won\'t be responsible for engaging a large contingent of local actors, with the story mostly focussing on four friends who go on an adventure in the jungle, but plenty of local crew are getting work on the film which will shoot here for the next three weeks.
"It\'s mostly a Queensland-based crew and most of them, particularly the heads of department, have been to Columbia with us," Fellman said.
Next week\'s filming will kick off at a top secret location, mostly private properties in the Gold Coast hinterland, and Fellman said it was going to look spectacular.
"We have got a number of areas through the hinterland where we are filming," he said.
"There\'s a little bit on the Gold Coast and we have a little bit of studio space but we are here capturing more of the dense internal jungle and it looks sensational."
"We are very excited to be here and kicking off the Queensland part of the filming."
was lured here with some state government money to secure at least 50 per cent of the  shoot to happen in Queensland.
