So what do আপনি mean when আপনি use the term "SJW"?

No, I mean, I know that it means "Social Justice Warrior," but I feel this is problematic.

And also, what does THAT even mean? I have seen so many bloody definitions of that term, I remain uncertain of why we use the term, and I want আপনি to think about why আপনি use it. link will say one thing, then a journalist I'll read about will define it as link. So what does it mean to you?

The reason I am desperate for a definition is because I am worried that this has become a derogatory term for an otherwise worthy cause. If আপনি are using it to describe literally people fighting and fighting hard for social justice, then আপনি do them a disservice. Not to mention you'd be slandering the original social justice fighters like Martin Luther King Jr., Susan B. Anthony, Harvey Milk, অথবা Mahatma Gandhi. And if আপনি don't, then the term is misleading. Either way, it's problematic, and আপনি have to ask yourselves who coined it, and what purpose does it serve. Or, আপনি know, I can ask those questions.

Hipster Activists seems like an appropriate title. অথবা Slacktivists. To be quite honest I use SJW instead of those because it's a term a great deal of people seem to know, nothing আরো nothing less. For me SJW and Social Justice are two totally different things. But that's explained in my article.

It's not an official term so there's no agreed on definition and everyone has different connotations for it.

I use it negatively in ref to that whole ridiculous white upper middle class tumblr social justice movement that prides itself on liberalism without really understanding it, like feminists that talk about hating and wanting to kill men. অথবা TERFS and other non-intersectional "liberals." Hate 'em.

I understand the definition you're attaching, but I wish we had a different term for those types of people. I guess, to me, দ্বারা using the term "Social Justice" in the term, along with the mocking use of "Warriors" trivializes ACTUAL social justice and those who fight -- and fight hard -- for it. AKA, ACTUAL (and not ironically) Social Justice WARRIORS, অথবা fighters out in the trenches. Perhaps if we could use "Hipster Activists" অথবা something like TERF which is VERY specific to what's wrong with it, I might feel আরো comfortable using a term like that. Because, TBH, SJWs in your sense aren't actually fighting for social justice at all.

^ I agree, but I'm not gonna try and reappropriate SJW bc I don't wanna be associated with it haha

Usually, when I use the term "SJW" it's in reference to the radical, ultra-liberal Internet users on Tumblr and other websites that are quick to call almost anything sexist, racist, homophobic, fat-shaming, etc. and that act like they hate men, white people, straight people, cis people, and skinny people.

But why THAT term? What is wrong with wanting social justice? If we turn it into an insult, doesn't it belittle the whole idea of it? I don't see anyone calling Martin Luther King a "SJW", although that's exactly what he was (unironically).

What I mean is, where did it come from? Because I feel like I can trace it to the GamerGaters and Sad Puppies, and IMO that's like adopting a term into the nomenclature coined দ্বারা the Ku Klux Klan.

Social justice is immoral. It's treating a whole group a certain way because of what আপনি perceive. It's trying to make everybody the same when people are not born the same. it's trying to bring people down they আপনি believe are privileged in some way.
