Demi Lovato gave a scare to many of her fans when she was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday. The brunette singer-songwriter was taken to the emergency room after she experienced breathing problems, reports CBS News. The star was reportedly feeling sick and suffering from flu-like symptoms for several days.
However, the good news is that doctors ran several tests and determined the illness to be flu-related, according to FOX News. Her friend took Lovato to Providence Tarzana Medical Center where she was hospitalized all Tuesday afternoon. Demi is feeling much better now and was given Z-Pak and sent home to rest.
The 22-year-old\'s sudden hospital visit sparked concern among fans who immediately took to Twitter to express their support. Within hours, #GetWellSoonDemi started trending worldwide. The "Heart Attack" singer has started to take special care of her health after confessing to a magazine that she almost went back to rehab because of her issues with food.
The former Disney actress confessed that she was obsessed and at the same time terrified over food. She has stopped overeating since and has controlled her diet. The singer-songwriter now eats four small meals and snacks twice a day. This helps her to control portions and have a balanced meal.
The "Unbroken" singer has launced a new line of skincare named Devonne by Demi, reports The Christian Post. There were rumors that Demi Lovato may be engaged to boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama after the singer posted a picture with a ring on her finger. However, boyfriend Valderrama denied such speculations.
Demi Lovato has been in rehab for emotional and physical problems such as bulimia, drug addiction and bipolar disorder. She now lives a healthy life and concentrates on respecting her body and self-image.
Hopefully, this health scare was a trivial one, with no more to follow.
