I just had this crazy idea - In the পরবর্তি months, I'll write a series of 8 প্রবন্ধ (well, I'll continue only if আপনি like them, of course). The first 7 প্রবন্ধ will be about separate aspects of the DP চলচ্চিত্র (Score, princess, couple, screenplay, villain, sidekicks and animation/art), and in the final প্রবন্ধ I'll make the average of the grades I gave the চলচ্চিত্র in each aspect and make my পছন্দ DP চলচ্চিত্র তালিকা = )

The first প্রবন্ধ is about the scores! Enjoy =D BTW, all the pictures I used feature my পছন্দ song from each movie.

10. Cinderella - 7,0

It sure has a lot of nice songs – My পছন্দ one is “A Dream is a Wish your হৃদয় Makes”. “So this is love” and “Cinderella” are very nice too. But the rest of the songs feel আরো like a childish album and don’t have much of a message অথবা big importance in the screenplay – I personally don’t understand why “Bibidi bobidi boo” got an Oscar nomination. Plus, it sounds considerably dated.

9. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - 7,75

Just like Cinderella, this movie has a couple of nice songs, including one of Disney’s sweetest প্রণয় songs, but most of them are childish. However, there is a very likeable childish score in the movie, during Snow White’s dance with the dwarfes. This song fills my bedroom with joy whenever I watch the movie. The instrumental opening of the movie is very epic too.

8. Mulan - 8,0

I honestly don’t know who composed this score, but I have to say that the person did quite a good job. I mean, out of all the DP movies, this is the one where the songs were harder to fit in, due to its chinese setting and deep story, and though the job was well-done, it’s still one of Disney’s weakest scores. The solo song of the princess is short and unmemorable, but 2 following songs make up to it: “A Girl Worth Fighting For” and specially “I’ll make a man out of you”.

7. Aladdin - 8,75

Aladdin’s score has 2 main problems: The first one is that most of the songs are made to sound funny, and end up not being as memorable as most of Disney’s songs (in the case of “Prince Ali” and “A Friend Like Me”). The সেকেন্ড one is that after great villain songs in THE LITTLE MERMAID and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST it is pretty disappointing that the movie’s villain only sings 2 অথবা 3 lines. Other than that, it’s a score full of joy, sustained দ্বারা “A Whole New World”, one of the best songs of all time.

6. Sleeping Beauty - 9,0

This ballet-inspired score is glorious, and I would have ranked it even higher if it worked well as a movie score as it does as a piece of art. The biggest problem is that most of the songs are sang দ্বারা chorus and the only memorable one is Once Upon a Dream (one of the best প্রণয় songs from the cinema). However, it has some of Disney’s best instrumental pieces.

5. Tangled - 9,1

Its score is great as a whole, but individually, as brilliant as they are, the songs can’t compare to past ডিজনি classics. “When will my life begin” can’t compare to “Part of your World”, “I See the Light” is a poor follow-up to “Beauty and the Beast”, “Kiss the Girl” and “A Whole New World” and “Mother Knows Best” isn’t as good as “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and “Friends of the other Side”. However, the movie’s songs are good enough to provide one of DP movie's best scores.

4. Pocahontas - 9,25

Every single song in this movie is fulfilled with tons of energy, mostly because of Pocahontas’ voice – That is noticeable whenever she sings – Just Around the Riverbend, রঙ of the Wind and specially in the impressive final musical number – Savages. One of the problems of this movie is that its score is way better than the movie itself – Mine, mine, mine, for example, is too good to be sang দ্বারা such a poor villain like Ractiffle. The instrumental score in the end of the movie always gives me chills.

3. The Princess and the Frog - 9,3

Maybe this one is lower in most people’s lists, but I have a personal attachment to some songs of this movie. “Almost There” feels like me গান গাওয়া about my hard work to achieve my dreams, while I feel like Tiana while she’s trying to get to the restaurant during “Down in New Orleans”. I also feel like its reprise could be the theme of my happy ending too. Putting that beside, we have to assume that all the songs have great quality (after all, it was the first DP movie since আলাদীন to have আরো than one song nominated in the Oscars). The biggest problem are the sidekicks songs, all disposable.

2. Beauty and the Beast - 9,75

This score has the charm of Sleeping Beauty, but it manages to be catchy and memorable at the same time. It’s epic and gives the movie the musical feeling it’s famous for. The songs even manage to fix some holes in the plot – In the case of “Something There” and “Beauty and the Beast” itself. In fact, I feel that if we took away সঙ্গীত from all the DP movies, this one would be the most affected. There’s not one single song I dislike and it has a lot of instrumental tunes too.

1. The Little Mermaid - 10,0

This score reaches the deepest feelings from my হৃদয় – Both in instrumental moments and during Part of your world – which is my all-time পছন্দ song. It is filled with joy, in momments like চুম্বন the Girl and Under the Sea. And the surprising is that even managing to do this, all the songs have an important function in the story. Poor unfortunate souls was the song that introduced Villain Songs in Disney, and I still think that “Gaston” অথবা any other villain song made aftewards is able to reach its level.

Leave a মতামত = ) Hope আপনি enjoyed!

Megara

Caricature / Gerald Scarfe

Now granted, Megara is not an official ডিজনি Princess but I figure she is a prime example of caricature in a ডিজনি film and where that overpowering style took little regard for the time period in which the story takes place. If animators attempted to use the art of caricature in Aladdin the film Hercules took it to the fullest extent.

With the pending release of two “Snow White” revamps, boasting Kristin Stewart and Lily Collins in the leading roles – I began to wonder: look-wise, who could fill the shoes of the other 9 princesses? And after exhausting গুগুল image, I’ve found my answer. These celebrity-princess doppelgangers share আরো than merely eye and hair colour; in fact, many are practically identical. Give their faces and features আরো than a quick glance and I promise you’ll agree.

9.Sleeping Beauty: True প্রণয় conquers all.
Coming in last place is Sleeping Beauty's moral, "True প্রণয় Conquers All". While many of us agree this would be a wonderful moral, it doesn't apply to real life. In real life, true প্রণয় rarely conquers anything. Certainly in real life it wouldn't conquer something to the equivalent of Maleficent. While it's a wonderful moral that everyone wishes were true, sadly it isn't, which is understandably why it gained last place in our countdown.

"True প্রণয় can't didn't conquere Hitler, 9/11, অথবা the Vietnam War. Actually, the আরো I think about it, doesn't...

I পোষ্ট হয়েছে this on the দেওয়াল yesterday, but as দেওয়াল messages get swallowed up pretty quick I decided to write it in a article. So, keep in mind I did not actually write this. Also, there are spoilers at the very end but I will give a thorough warning before that, and even তীক্ষ্নভাবে a picture after the warning so আপনি will not accidentally see the spoilers. But if আপনি have already been পাঠ করা the spoilers, it will be nothing new. Enjoy! :)

Once upon a time, there was a man who had a lovely and beautiful lady as his wife. They had one daughter only and her name was Cinderella, who was very dutiful to her parents. But while she was still very young, her mamma died, to the grief of her husband and daughter. After a time, the little girl’s papa married another lady. This lady was evil and haughty, and had two ugly grown-up daughters as disagreeable as herself; so the poor girl found everything at প্রথমপাতা changed for the worse.

But she bore all her troubles with patience and grace, not even complaining to her father, and, in spite...

Hello everybody, I just wanted to inform that this প্রবন্ধ is completely my personal option. There is absolutely no need to have a hissy fit if my opinion doesn’t conform to yours. Feel free to মতামত what your own ranking is if আপনি wish. Anyways, let’s get on with this ranking.

#14 Merida

“I’m a boy with long hair.”
“I’m a boy with long hair.”

Merida is one of the most hideous animated females ever. She just screams ugly, unfeminine and manliness. She is the epitome of what’s wrong with strong female characters (or just females in general). Her head shape is hideous and makes her look...

This is my guess:
Aurora:I always thought she's tall, but she can be medium height either. I would say 1.70 m,but she can be under that too.
Pocahontas:She's very tall, almost as tall as John Smith and he was tall. She has really long legs too.I guess 180-182 m.
Cinderella: I think she's average height. She's shorter than Aurora. Anything from 165-169 m.She can look tall sometimes.
Esmeralda:She's not a ডিজনি Princess,but I read somewhere that she's the tallest of all ডিজনি Princesses.
My guess is anything from 180 to 184 m.Don't know if she and Pocahontas would be same heght.
Elsa:I read that she...

 WTF? BOOM!
WTF? BOOM!
Hi guys, okay I noticed that there are ছবি of both Emma and Dan in their respective roles for the upcoming 2017 reboot of the ডিজনি classic. I would like to voice out my disappointments with the movie, with the exception of Emma Watson (so please don't shoot me!).

Horrible Outfits

When I first saw the ছবি of the Beast and Belle dancing, it was a 'What the Fish' moment for everyone, not just me. I was expecting something very majestic like what they did with Cinderella.
As somebody had mentioned, this is only an early shot and so I maybe wrong about it. So please feel free to correct...

If the ডিজনি Princesses were Housewives on Wisteria Lane, which house would be theirs? [If আপনি are a Desperate Housewives fan, I included who lived there from the প্রদর্শনী if anyone did.]

1. Snow White: 4350

This house is a nice beige color, between white (her skin) and yellow (her skirt). It has a gazebo style balcony that fits perfectly for her and her prince to dance around and sing to each other in. [Martha Huber/Felicia Tillman/Andrew VandeKamp]

2. Cinderella: 4354

This house is a beautiful big blue house, just like her beautiful big blue(ish) dress. It's like a palace but still with...

Hi everyone! I recently learned about the Bechdel Test from a friend and have been wanting to write this প্রবন্ধ ever since. This test is, at its core, an analysis of how women are portrayed in জনপ্রিয় culture. It reveals how much women tend to revolve around men in films, books, etc. To pass the test, a film (or any other work of fiction) must meet three requirements: the film must (1) have at least two named female characters (2) who talk to each other (3) about something other than a man. It seems so simple, right? Unfortunately a surprising number of films fail in at least one of these...
