He was selfish and shallow... would he have changed if another girl showed up instead of Belle? I do believe Belle/Beast's প্রণয় was true but Beast possibly made himself fall in প্রণয় with her. It's not like he had a choice any way, who wouldn't do the same in his situation?

Plus, Shang is probably the Prince who is the least possessive of her Princess.
