Chapter 5: Inside Her Head
"My daughter. What do I hear in there? Is that Nakoma?" Chief Powhatan asks. "I thought আপনি two weren't on speaking terms ever since, well, John Smith....you actually haven't been on speaking terms with anyone since John left, not even me." Chief Powhatan hasn't slept for nights, so worried about his daughter, but she still wouldn't tell him anything.
"Yes father, Nakoma and I have reconciled and she and I are inside talking right now," Pocahontas says, lying through her teeth. "Now if you'll please excuse us."
Chief Powhatan hesitates at the door. He knows something is wrong, but he doesn't know the words to say. Ever since John left and the Indians and settlers started war, she hasn't been the same. "I প্রণয় আপনি my daughter," is all he says before leaving her.
Pocahontas relaxes. Of course Nakoma wasn't actually in here. The noise he heard were the screams of Ariel, Belle, Snow White, and Rapunzel. "Ariel and Belle, আপনি had one job! It was to dig Aurora out of the ground and bring her to me! আপনি know I handpicked আপনি two out of the princesses because আপনি two seemed to be the most capable, but clearly I was wrong! Now I've got to worry about these two as well; Snow White and Rapunzel. What do আপনি have to say for yourselves?"
Pocahontas takes off the restraint on Ariel and Belle's mouth so they can explain. "AHHH!" They scream in unison. Pocahontas slaps them and puts the restraint back on their mouths.
"I need to go get some fresh air, আপনি two are annoying me," Pocahontas says. "Meeko, Flit, come on!" Meeko and Flit come out from hiding in the corner and reluctantly follow Pocahontas. They too felt that she hadn't been the same since John, and they were getting scared of her.
"What have I done?" Pocahontas says to Meeko and Flit once she's out of the village. "This has gotten so out of hand...I never meant for it to happen like this, I'm so lost.." Meeko looks at her and points in the direction of Grandmother Willow.
"Grandmother Willow...I can't...she'd see my lies and be so ashamed of me...so would my mother...so would everyone," Pocahontas says, a tear falling from her eye. Meeko starts pushing Pocahontas towards Grandmother Willow anyway.
"Oh all right," Pocahontas finally says. "I guess it can't get any worse at this point.." Meeko and Flit look at each other happily. They hoped that finally Pocahontas would be back to normal. Pocahontas jumps in a শাল্তি and rides down to Grandmother Willow. When she almost reaches her, she stops suddenly. "No," she says quietly. "NO!" she screams, and a flock of nearby birds fly away. Where Grandmother Willow once lay, a stub sits.
"She's been cut down...cut down দ্বারা those retched White People! They are all evil!" Pocahontas has warm tears in her eyes, full of hatred and disgust. "That John Smith wasn't in প্রণয় with me! He poisoned my mind, just like all these other Whites are trying to do! Well, I'm not going to let them do that again! I'm never, ever going to let this happen again. Meeko tries to comfort Pocahontas দ্বারা playing with her feet affectionately, but she pushes him away. The little hope they had that Pocahontas could recover was gone. She was too full of hatred, and she wouldn't stop till every last one of them were dead.

Chief Powhatan walks, his mind heavy with thought of Pocahontas, when suddenly he bumps into Nakoma. "Nakoma! I thought আপনি were with my daughter?"
Nakoma looks at him confused. "Pocahontas hasn't even spoken at me for months...ever since John Smith.." Chief Powhatan gets a scared look on his face, and runs to the room where Pocahontas was at. He opens the cloth doorway and sees four girls, locked in chains, and one girl who looked unconscious (or dead, but he tried not to think of that) in his daughter's room.
"No," Chief Powhatan says, as he backs away from the room. He starts to run, not knowing where, but he suddenly stops, a giant pain appearing in his stomach. He looks down and sees red seeping on his stomach. He falls to the floor.
"Sorry father," Pocahontas says.
