So many times on this site I have talked about why I think Maleficent is a bad villain and I have tried explaining once (Swanpride remembers this) but I ended up using tons of bad arguments and I didn't word it properly so now I want to try it again. If আপনি have any disagreements, I would প্রণয় to বিতর্ক about this in the মতামত so feel free to state your opinions.
What I consider a good villian is not all about cool posing অথবা evil laughs. It's not all about how evil they seem দ্বারা the way that they act অথবা how many people they get to fear of them. To me, it's all about the ruthlessness, the realims, tactics, and the way they set a theme into a villian. Maleficent's concept was an interesting concept. Maleficent is a symbol of all evil. Maleficent has no care of any being, basically a satanic type villain.
The way that they portrayed this into the storyline though did not quite exactly make sense though. Maleficent arrives at a party and decides to strike fear into people because "she was not wanted". To get revenge and prove to them to do what she orders, she casts a spell on Aurora and that on her sixteenth birthday she will prick her finger into a spindle and die.
During this scene, how she was অভিনয় during her appearance seems quite artificial and makes her appear as a cliche type villain. Their wasn't a single thing about her that made her unique. Yes, she was quite interesting, but not very much on the unique side. আরো of one of those villains that আপনি would think of when আপনি think of a cliche story.
She appears during that scene and the first thing that comes out of her mouth is..... An evil laugh, of course! Not only that, but she starts giving her evil laugh way too many times during the scene to be realistic in any way, shape, অথবা form.
The পরবর্তি thing is, if ডিজনি wanted to make an interesting rounded villain, they could have made her shades of grey rather then all a dark character. The other option would be to portray this symbol in a better way, but they didn't. They kept her cliche. It's not like Shan Yu, he was an action based character and his role in the movie was made up দ্বারা his actions rather then his dialogue.
Now Maleficent is not horrendous at playing her role as a villain. She is bad (I will get to that later), but not as bad as some other villians. The main thing that get's me about Maleficent is the way she was done.
পরবর্তি thing, she has bad motives. Why would the devil want to come to a christening? This makes absolutely no sense! Why would the devil want to do that, why? People say this shows আরো realism in the fact that she is a quite evil symbol, but she wasn't প্রদত্ত a backstory অথবা anything to give us more.
I get it, she was evil and all, but quite artificially evil. A very flat and boring symbol who is made up of very basic and small amount of traits. Not developed at all and not very rounded either. She doesn't have much thought put into her. How easy is it to think of a dark and evil character? She needs to have some kind of perspective অথবা something shown of her in the movie. She is made up of basic traits and is nothing much.
And really, the only reason why people really like her is because of her whole theme. Like just as it was mentioned above, people are so focused on her evilness and her whole theme of green and devil রঙ they don't pay attention to anything regarding her depth.
Maleficent is of course super powerful but take a সেকেন্ড to think, imagine if Maleficent didn't have her powers. Would her character be the same? No. It would not. Which is of course reasonable, but my main point is, people think Maleficent has a real character but she doesn't. Her powers take up her character and it distracts everyone from her herself. Her power is the thing that is moving her throughout the movie and without it she is nothing. She never had a chance for us to see her make a big decision like we did for Shan Yu, we never got to see if she was ব্রেভ অথবা anything because we can't thanks to her power. Her power is the thing that is making her seem like this great character but really she isn't. Without her power she is nothing. Shan Yu on the other hand is smart, brave, calm, adaptable, ruthless and we got to see that alot rather then having his strength take over the film.

Well, Om Nelle may not be a ডিজনি princess, but মুলান isn't actually a princess either. Her heroism made মুলান a princess, even though she had nothing to do with the royal family. Om Nelle does a lot of heroics. Just like a Mulan. Moreover, it even has a crown. A tiara with a cute blue stone. But there are a few problems. For example, this crown is actually a belt. Also, even if this was a real crown, Om Nelle has nothing to do with royalty. Om Nelle is a creature, so not a human. That's okay because Nala in The Lion King is also an animal but is considered a ডিজনি Princess. Now the only problem is, ডিজনি didn't create Om Nelle. So she may be a princess in her own right, but never a ডিজনি princess. She would still make a great ডিজনি princess out of her.
Her hair reminds me of a golden waterfall. It's really nice to have your hair curled. Also, Aurora's eyes are perfect! বেগুনী color. The rarest eye color. Her lashes are also gorgeous and united. The shape of his payload is oval which is perfect. আপনি are amazing Aurora.
I find Aurora very beautiful, but I can't say I প্রণয় her very much because I find her absolutely boring. She knows nothing but dancing, গান গাওয়া and getting up with a kiss.
She's gentle, kind, and clumsy and is ব্রেভ enough to stand up to Clayton even when he has a gun -BB2010
I প্রণয় how awkward yet interesting she is; I admire her bravery and empathy, and I like how she has a talent for drawing and curiosity for the jungle life. I প্রণয় her relationship with Tarzan, one of my পছন্দ ডিজনি couples; her নকশা is really pretty as well -WhiteLagoon13
Everything! She is smart, she is dedicated to her work, but I also প্রণয় that her "damsel" moments are the result of her being in an unfamiliar situation, and that she learns to adjust to her new environment দ্বারা the end of the movie. -Swanpride
