Nani is okay. I literally just watched the movie and I'm just nautral about her. She doesn't do anything that really impresses or wows me like Lilo does. Anyway Tiana is in my top 20 favorite animated heroines so obviously.
She's nothing *amazing* but I still think she's underrated. She doesn't get much attention, even from people that love the movie, because understandably Lilo is more noticed
but i have to go with nani here. she's and warm and empathetic and takes so much bullshit in stride. disnerdtobe makes a great point about how much nani goes through without really making a big show of her own pain; patf does kind of over-romanticize suffering and adversity through tiana. nani's sense of humor is great too, down to earth and not obnoxiously snarky like so many other animated girls. she's a fantastic example of a strong heroine who isn't ruined by strong female character syndrome.
Easily. And it isn't because Lilo upstages her in the same movie.
Tiana? No. I don't need to be taught a lesson in how abstaining from having fun and suffering to fulfill a lifelong dream makes the dream happen for me.
I do like Nani (and certainly like her more than Lili) but like Jessica, I just don't love her. Tiana is so likable up until she becomes a frog and I love her movie 10x more.

I'll pass on Tiana.
