If she looked like this she would've been my number one most beautiful Disney Princess. Also I edited the picture to where she still has freckles. Click on the image and you'll see.

I don't care much about the hair, but I wish her eyes had more shape and eyelids, and that her face isn't a ball, and that her neck isn't so big. I really hate how they drew her.

While ultimately I accept and enjoy Brave the way it is, especially in animation and character design regard, Merida's appearance came off as evidently less developed and organic than, for instance, her mother Elinor's. Therefore I really love the idea of this little edit and her being depicted with less abrupt face features and an overall more natural look rather than the overly caricature canon one.

I like this design of her so much more than her official design.

It looks nothing like her.. they could have made her look more appealing in the movie then I'm sure more people would have liked her.

She's much prettier but I still don't think she was supposed to be this ideal beauty. The animators just kind of made her this cute girl. Good you added the freckles though.
