She only gets more recognition now because of her princess status

While Hercules has more mass appeal, I think it is really just entertainment and has a lot more issues than Pocahontas, which at least doe have some incredible elements, such as soundtrack and animation. When you really look at it, a lot of it doesn't really add up, not to mention that Hades goes through with his part of the agreement and Hercules doesn't, in a way making the villain a worthier character than the hero.

Why do you think these movies are weak? Especially Hercules.

^They both had mixed reviews. I think both movies are weak objectively while some people may enjoy them. All movies have flaws but like I've said before, I really cannot ignore the flaws in Pocahontas.

^ Actually, Hercules got a lot more positive reviews than Pocahontas, and I think it has a 83% on Rottwn Tomatoes with an average rating of 7/10. But both have their issues that cannot be overlooked. But both got the weakest reception (not including RDU and HoND has a better average rating, but has a lower average). Everybody all over the Internet practically acknowledges that these two are the weakest of the era. I really like both though, but I do not know which one is weaker

At least Pocahontas has a working narrative, as boring as it is. Hercules on the other hand - what a mess. Nothing in this movie goes well together, the music style changes from song to song, I hate, hate, hate the pop culture references, Hercules is a booooooring character - and the whole thing tramples over the Mythology with no understanding at all what it is about. And then the plot holes! They are WORSE than the one in PatF! (The most obvious is Hades not knowing that Hercules is still alive despite being the freaking god of the underworld). And while I loved Hades in The House of Mouse, I really don't like him in the movie.

I love the two film, they are probably in my top three, they aren´t the weakest of the 90´s. There are any weak film of the 90´s? (I haven´t the Recuers Down Under)
PD: Sorry for my bad english, I need to go to school and study more.

Wow, Hades not knowing that even though he is the god of the underworld is a huge flaw.

Both have bad pacing. In Pocahontas, the rising action does not happen until a third of the movie (which is about 1 hour 10 minutes). The introduction to th characters are way too long, and Pocahontas and John meet midway in the film. Everything after that seems rushed and cluttered, because the plot really starts midway through the film.

Hercules on the other hand, is very cluttered and rushed the entire film. We never catch a break to really know the characters because they are either throwing pop culture references in our faces, or th scenes move way too fast. A lot of things don't really make sense in this movie

I don't know which one to vote. Although they were enjoyable I too, was a bit annoyed at how Disney got the historical accuracy (Pocahontas) and greek mythology (Hercules) wrong. I picked Hercules because even though I enjoyed the music none of them (except Go to the Distance) fit with the movie's time period. Like everyone else mentioned, we never get to know other characters besides Hercules. I would have like to get to know A LOT more about Meg. What her life was really like before she sold herself to Hades? What other personality traits does she have other than sass?
