The flaws make the character more realistic. This does not mean that they will be relatable to everyone, however.

Yes! In fact, I just wrote about this in one of my FB groups today 💃 The princess I relate to most is Tiana because while she is exceedingly hard-working and sincere in her love toward those dearest, her tunnel vision and overall stubborness sometimes get the best of her. In other words, although you can tell she tries her damndest to keep it classy and show her appreciation, when faced with too much pressure, her temper dares to undo all of her compassionate acts in one fell swoop 😞 💔 This is especially true when I'm concerned about my long-term goals and how they will affect my family. Moreover, Tiana is determined to own and operate a restaurant in honor of her father's memory/promise, and I'm willing to sacrifice my unknown passion to become financially dependent so that I might make my family proud and free my own doubts.

^Btw, I meant to convey that last bit as a flaw in the sense that Tiana seems to use her father's death as an excuse to fulfill his dream, and even though you can tell she loves to cook, you could argue that it isn't so clear if that's truly hers -- or if it was just "theirs" -- until she cooks with Naveen 😊
