it gets tiring that it's always non-white woman with a white man. but for some reason the other way seems to irk some people more.

I think it matters. I won't go too much into it but I get this strong feeling that non-white males are often overshadowed and can to a certain extent be portrayed as undesirable even, with the exception of Latino men. And with the couples where the woman is of color in popular media, they sometimes make it seem like it's an exotic to the male. They might do the same the other way around but you barely see any of that.

Yes, but it'd be cool to see more interracial couples that featured non-whites. The only characters in Disney that I can think of that are racially mixed but without any white parents would be Dr. Sweet from Atlantis, who is black and Native American and Elisa Maza from Gargoyles. So we have two characters that are the product of inter-racial parents who are also POC, why not feature the actual couple in a film?
