jasmine, cinderella and snow white

Cinderella's trauma was continuous from the day her father died. She was abused, and humiliated, and forced into a sort of poverty. Her self-esteem was constantly undermined. How terrible.

Most of the rest of the princesses were only in trauma for a short period of time, not a huge portion of their lives.

Snow White is probably second for me.

yeah um...why Jasmine?..Jafar isn't a pedophile. She's of a national legal age, only making him a sexual predator, and she only dealt with sexual advances of any kind for 2 days. And most women will experience worse sexual advances in bars. Also she had a loving father, and a loving boyfriend so professionally speaking her "trauma' would be largely minimized. (my mom works with sex abuse victims) So jasmine most likely experienced the LEAST trauma.

It's hard to decide because trauma is so relative from person to person. But I think the two to suffer the most long-term damage would be Cinderella (especially if she has a daughter) or Pocahontas (because of losing john and the guilt of Kocoum)

I guess Snow White since she grew up as a princess and was suddenly forced to become a servant girl, then her psycho step-mom hires somebody to kill her, and then she has to run into the deep dark woods and find some place to stay. But I do agree with alafastanzio Jasmine didn't suffer that much 'trauma'; I think if she suffer any at all it be from being cooped up in the palace for years.

Pocahontas is the most traumadic because her father almost kill John Smith and then after that she still looses him

I think Cinderella suffered the most.

All would really suck tbh. War is hell and finding out your life is an entire lie and you have to marry (who you believe is) a total stranger would be traumatic, but at least before their day to day lives were mostly good (although being forbidden from even seeing another person outside your family is messed up too). I was tempted to pick Snow because, well, she almost got murdered and got lost in the creepy woods, but bounces back reeeaaaallly well so she doesn't seem too scarred by it.

I don't think living with Jafar (who isn't a pedo, btw, just a gross old man) would be traumatizing until he took over. Before rnen he was just obnoxious.

Ariel is missing from this poll, but King Triton was definitely abusive to her.

When you realize someone wants you to die, then obviously. Cinderella too.

I agree with wavesurf. If you saw a man yelling at his daughter the way Triton did or saw him destroy his daughter's beloved collection would you just write that off as just being a parent?

Triton was TERRIFYING in that scene. Just because Ariel had a good life doesn't mean her dad wasn't abusive to do that.
