At first, Belle had prejudice toward the Beast. She also gradually realized that the Beast was kind, like Elizabeth realized Darcy was kind. Belle was able to speak her mind. She was different from others. So was Elizabeth who was not a typical girl in her era.

yes, totally agree, besides both love their rather odd parents! They love reading. Both are a little proud. Very similar. BTW that's why I think that Keira Knightley could play Belle as well.

I was thinking Belle at first but changed my mind and went with Jane. Yes Belle's story is relativly simular to Elizabeth's, but the question asks "who will best play Elizabeth" and I think Jane's quirky nature with a unique atractivness would be really interesting.
