What I mean by flawed is like...the timeline of Beauty and the Beast isn't consistent, or how come Ariel didn't just write things to Eric, or how did Rapunzel learn to swim? That kind of flawed, not like "Pocahontas is historically inaccurate" flawed, or "Sleeping Beauty is boring" flawed. AND I don't mean like "The shirt of the sailor in TLM switches colors from one frame to the next"...not technical errors.

Anyway, I don't know. I'm curious to see what you guys say before making my decision. I'm leaning towards Tangled though, I found a lot of flaws in that movie.

or Tangled. But plot in Tangled makes a bit more sense to me

^ I agree, Tangled does seem to make more sense than PATF. There's a lot of loop holes and confusion in this movie.
Next choice would be Beauty and the Beast, the timeline is FUCKED in that one.

^what are the flaws in Princess and the Frog?
I only know the one about why didn't Charlotte turn into a frog when she kissed Naveen....I haven't seen the movie in awhile so....

This or BatB. I cannot freakin' figure out the timeline for that thing. But PatF consists mainly of loopholes. Seriously, it's like they wrote out an unhappy ending and had a lawyer look through it to find ways to make it happy again.

I can explain most of PatF's loopholes, but TBH, the arguments are pretty flimsy and base themselves on tiny, nitpick-y details.

@princesslullaby- Faciler's motives are unclear, he just asked Naveen to "shake a poor sinner's hand" so that wasn't much of a deal, I'm pretty sure you can use voodoo on yourself, Charlotte just happened to count as a princess although she has no real country, the think you mentioned, and HOW DID THEY LET AN ALLIGATOR INTO A RESTAURANT?

Not to mention that the entire movie is based on a loophole- that anyone who's not a princess and is kissed by an enchanted frog becomes one.

The whole film makes no sense timeline-wise. The only explanation I have is that it lasts months. Because that's the only logical one I can see.

@firegirl515- yeah, that princess thing was stupid, if it's that easy to get a princess then hell, I could play a role playing game and declare myself princess and naveen could kiss me and then the spell would be broken.

I always considered the whole movie (BatB) to occur throughout a period of months. When Belle goes to stay in the castle up to the wolf thing, I imagine that to be one night...but then from that up to the ball scene to be a few months. (Even when Gaston tells Lefou to not move from that spot, Lefou IS loyal enough to do whatever Gaston does, no matter what it costs for him, so I just imagined him to be sitting out there for months.) I think PatF made my mind go WTF the most. I didn't see Tangled yet, so...yeah.

^^When I was little, I always though he had made Lefou wait a couple of months too xD. But then I realized something...if he waited for months wouldn't Maurice have died? After I figured that out my whole perception of the movie was just screwed up.

@princesslullaby: IKR? Kinda weird, since being a princess is a bloodline/marriage thing and Charlotte's dad was VOTED into "royalty".

like, if Louis was so happy to be human, why did he got the wrong way purposefully? if he didn't want to go to Mama Odie, why did he just not go? and if he went because he wanted to help Tiana and Naveen, why did he act excited?

^^Um, he went the wrong way by accident. Ray tells them never to ask gators for directions because they're horrible at finding places. When he gets to Mama Odie's he gets excited about being human again, even though he gets shot down by her.

^^ Do you mean Lefou? If you did mean Maurice, I imagine he would've stayed in his house the whole time until one night he just was tired of waiting and he went to go get Belle back, hence him going into the woods thing and Belle seeing him in the mirror.

Lefou...true, he could've died. lol I always imagined that people always gave him food and stuff as he waited like a beggar so he wouldn't die. XD

I picked Pocahontas, but having given it careful thought, my vote goes for Mulan. I just watched it again today, and I think the idea that she was in the army for a pretty extended amount of time and no one noticed is pretty out there. Plus, we see Fa Zhou fuss at her (i.e. notice her voice/face/general recklessness) right in the beginning of the movie. Did he really buy that there was a son in that family and NOBODY knew about it? Having a son with no sense is better than no son at all, right? Anyway, that's just my opinion.

i love tangled to pieces but it makes no sense to me. what do you think would have happened to punz in real life if she had really been locked in a tower with only a crazy bitch for company? she would have had little to no social skills at all. there is absolutely no way that you have memories of your first day of life, repressed or not. why did the tear heal Flynn???

I'm not sure but a few things I wanna know about Tangled. How did Gothel find out the flower could heal what has been hurt, make someone healthy, or even make her young and beautiful? How did she know the incantation?

@KataraLover, Mother Gothel probably found it in a book of mystical plants or something because the people of the kingdom seem to know what they were looking for.

Tangled, but maybe just as I've seen it most recently. I've only seen it once so sorry if any of these are my mistakes. Not sure if some still haven't seen it, so just in case *Spoiler warning* for my whole ramble I guess?

How did Gothel figure out the incredibly specific song you have to sing to the flower? What are the odds she'd guess something so random correctly? And if Gothel always kept the golden flower hidden how did the royal army know it existed to look for it?

How could Rapunzel forget till she almost died that her hair lights up? It's not like she only just got that power, she's had it all her life, so forgetting it is the equivalent of me sitting in a fire till I slowly burn to death because I forgot I could walk away.

Why did Gothel tell Rapunzel her real birthday? Just seems weird. Why keep any details of your kidnapped kid the same as her real identity? It would've removed some of the significance of the lights to Rapunzel too.

Why did Gothel start using Rapunzel's hair to get in the tower and brick up the door instead of using it? It can't be to keep Rapunzel in, it's as easy for her to get out by her hair, and it can't be to keep others out, to hide the door but still use it would be easy, and if someone wanted they could get in how Flynn did anyway. So what possessed her to switch to hair elevator? If someone had seen that it would have ruined her whole plan.

And just silly things, like what is Rapunzel doing with the all stuff she apparently makes every day? Does Gothel have to go out and run a candle shop once a week to get rid of the five hundred candles Rapunzel keeps making?

@Mermaid-Tale: I'll explain eveyreting in the Tangled forum as toon as I get the chance. However, the "hair elevator" is purley for the fact that it was part of the original fairy tale. "Rapunzel, open you heavily-padlocked door" just isn't as fairytale like.

Mermaid-Tail picked ট্যাঙ্গেল্ড:
Yeah, there are probably explanations for most what I said (a mix of only seeing the movie once and me being a bit on the dopey side), and I get that some are just necessary to better serve the tone (like the hair lift, and skipping Gothel discovering the flower trick), but for the sake of this pick I still counted them.

Though I think in the original, or at least the version I had as a child, it actually made more sense, as in the one I had the tower just didn't have a door, which is why the hair trick was needed. The version of the Gothel character had intentionally build/acquired a tower without a door to stop Rapunzel being rescued. Still, logical or not, I much prefer to see Gothel using the hair elevator that a scene of her plodding up some stairs ;)
