The movie completely changes everything that transpires when Ariel is on land, and the ending is the complete opposite of what the original ending is.

Very different, to say the least

This story takes place in CHINA unlike the Disney version, Jasmine's character is extremely spoiled and flat, Aladdin had two genies (I think), there was no royal vizier (it was an "uncle"), his mother is alive, there is no moral, the romance is not developed, Aladdin is not as poor as in the movie, there was no pop culture references in the tale, the characters are Chinese. This has practically nothing to do with the tale, while Tangled has some.

The lessons in the movie and book, characters, setting, even plot is completely different. The Little Mermaid has more in common with it's original material than this does. Also, the tale has no pop-cultire references.

Why is this still there ? It's a totally different story

Except the end that it's completely different and sadder (I prefer the Disney version) ... The Little Mermaid's sisters have a bigger role and the original story is more painful.

Didn't she die at the end of it? And she had a Grandmother.
