I love Dollhouse, this is too sad. I knew it was coming though. Not enough people got the show. As far as I saw it there were only two options, either cancellation or dumbing the show down, and as sad as I am I think I'd rather it ended on a high as the intelligent show it is than continued as a watered down version (this is my attempt to see anything resembling a bright side I guess. If I don't I'll end up too upset). I wish we'd at least got a longer season, I hope Joss has time to tie up the biggest loose ends.

I'm really sad, this is one of the only shows for a long time that I've considered intellectually stimulating, and knowing it didn't last while so many generic, brainless, overdone shows get year after year...depressing.
I'm so sad we wont get a chance to fully explore all these fascinating characters, and that all the amazing actors are losing such a unique way to showcase their skills :(

And screw FOX! What do they expect when they put it in the Timeslot of Doom?! ARGH

But at least we'll have the rest of Season 2, starting Dec 2. And Joss has promised a big finale. But still...there's so much story left to tell- how can they possibly cover it all in what's left of this season?!

I'm just so sad. And angry that so many viewers just didn't get the show. I've heard it alternately described as "smutty" or "too cerebral". I think people either just saw the sexual aspects and didn't look beneath that to the questions that were raised. Or they did see beneath it and it made them uncomfortable- they'd prefer it just be a show about hot chicks with guns. Sadly, it just never found the audience it deserved. But again, with the way that FOX treated it- what did they expect?

F*** Fox. Whedon needs to start showing his shows to a more accepting network, such as TNT and USA.

I agree with sheildmaiden. Whedon seriously needs to consider bringing his next venture to cable. TNT, USA, AMC...even SyFy. I just hope this debacle doesn't turn him off television.

This is just the way of TV these days. All stations use the outdated Nielsen ratings to determine a show's popularity when they should be taking numerous sources and facts into mind these days.

I blame Fox for starting it off on a Friday night but in all honesty I don't blame them for canceling it. I was surprised it made it to season 2 to be honest....doesn't make this hurt any less though =(

FOX has taken every one of my favorite shows. WHY!? They took Firefly and Arrested Development and Wonderfalls and now Dollhouse. Gorrammit FOX!!!

Screw Fox and everything associated with them.

I'm not watching anymore shows on that channel.

Seriously.... how do shows this great get cancelled and yet One Tree Hill is still going, allowing unrealistically attractive 'actors' to whisper dramatic lines at each other for 40 minutes or so each week....
