Hello Fanpoppers. দ্বারা now আপনি may have noticed a nifty new feature was rolled out this afternoon. It's the ফ্যানপপ Pop Quiz, a way to test your knowledge of all sorts of arcane trivia from movies, to সঙ্গীত to hamsters.

Before diving into the details of the game, I want to send out a hearty THANKS to the ফ্যানপপ team. In particular, a big শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য to link who put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this feature.

I'd also like to thank all the great beta testers who helped us test and refine the feature for the past month. Finally, a thank আপনি to link - the site that provided the nifty default প্রতীকী sets for the spot pop ক্যুইজ and superquiz.

Now onto the nitty-gritty...the specifics about the quiz.

Playing the Quiz

আপনি can play the ক্যুইজ in one of two ways.

1) The Super Quiz

link is the ultimate test of fanpopper knowledge. Superquiz pulls প্রশ্ন from the full spectrum of topics on the site. Each প্রশ্ন will tell আপনি what topic and channel it's about. Just start answering প্রশ্ন to start racking up points and winning virtual prizes. If আপনি run across a প্রশ্ন আপনি don't want to answer, আপনি can simply click the "skip this question" link to get a new question.

আপনি can also use the filter in the right column of the superquiz ("show প্রশ্ন for") to only display প্রশ্ন from a specific channel (e.g. movies) অথবা to only display প্রশ্ন from subjects আপনি are subscribed to.

A small module on the lower right side of the page will display your superquiz progress (how many points you've scored, how many প্রশ্ন asked and what your current prize is).

2) Individual Pop Quizzes

If আপনি want zero in on a specific topic, we also feature pop ক্যুইজ for each অনুরাগী club (spot). So for instance, if আপনি wanted to play The Office Pop Quiz, just go to The Office অনুরাগী Club and click the "quizzes" link below the spot banner (there is also a module on the right side of each অনুরাগী club homepage that will allow আপনি to start playing).

Spot-specific ক্যুইজ have their own leaderboards and prize sets (see the small module in the lower right column of the spot ক্যুইজ pages).

Making ক্যুইজ Questions

To make a ক্যুইজ প্রশ্ন আপনি will need to go to the অনুরাগী Club's ক্যুইজ and click the "add a question" link অথবা button.

When creating a প্রশ্ন আপনি must:
* Ask a question
* Enter at least 2 possible answers
* Select the correct answer

Optionally আপনি may:
* Add an image
* Embed a video
* Add প্রতিমূর্তি for each of the possible answers
* Add some short trivia about the question

আপনি have some limited editing capabilities once আপনি প্রকাশ a question, but it's best to make sure that আপনি have spelled everything correctly and have made the প্রশ্ন and answer factually correct before posting.

Additionally, here are some other tips for making good questions:
* Play the ক্যুইজ in the অনুরাগী club before posting new questions. This way আপনি can avoid making duplicate questions.
* Avoid subjective প্রশ্ন (e.g "Who do আপনি like better?). Subjective প্রশ্ন should be পোষ্ট হয়েছে as picks.
* Avoid প্রশ্ন that are time-specific অথবা can be rendered incorrect দ্বারা events in the future. For instance: "What's the highest grossing British film of all-time?". A better প্রশ্ন is "As of 2007, what's the highest grossing British film of all-time?". For TV shows that are still airing, a প্রশ্ন like "How many seasons of One বৃক্ষ Hill"? is also a bad idea (until the প্রদর্শনী has concluded).
* Avoid vague questions: "Who did John চুম্বন on tonight's episode?" is ambiguous if John kisses someone in every episode. A better প্রশ্ন would be "Who did John চুম্বন in the season 3 episode, 'The Hunted'"?

Reporting Quizzes

If আপনি see an inaccurate, inappropriate অথবা badly worded ক্যুইজ question, আপনি can flag it অথবা contact the ফ্যানপপ team.

ক্যুইজ creators do have limited ability to modify their প্রশ্ন after they are made, however we have curtailed these options in order to prevent any abuse.

Note that in some instances, the ফ্যানপপ team will need to মোছা প্রশ্ন in order to be fair to the people participating in the game. If this happens, feel free to repost a corrected version of the question.

Leaderboard & Prizes

As আপনি gain points দ্বারা playing the quiz, আপনি will notice that আপনি gain new "prizes". link
