Votes matter more if I'm trying to see how many people choose an option, but comments are great because a lot of times they tell why someone chose an option. But I think both are good and important.
I like comments too because that's how we express ourselves and are given a chance to justify our vote, but when I make polls it's the votes that I pay most attention to in all honesty.
I think both are extremely important! I get a little upset sometimes when people won't comment on certain polls, even if a lot of people answer it, no one comments, that bugs me a bit.
And the whole point of making a poll is to get votes.
i pick polls but like really people can skip the poll which makes it so pointless to even start a poll if people are legit gonna straight up avoid it and just comment which makes the poll completely useless, might as well start a forum if the comments are more than the poll itself or something like that dont get me wrong but i prefer polls because thats the reason why they were made in the first place for people to decide the "yes" or the "no" like i said dont get me wrong /:
^Don't people only skip voting on the poll if none of the answers fit their view, for example in a biased poll? Or sometimes if they just can't choose between the options. I know people also check the comments first if the initial comment explains the poll more fully, but those people tend to go back and vote after.
^ then they should be allowed to add they're own "View" i honestly never check the comments, because i dont honestly mind about it that much i just see the poll and i make my decision if i cant add my point of "view" then i comment, but like seriously the person who made the poll in the first place should had allowed people to be able to create they're own "views" as you typed.
Not everyone enables other to add their own answers - it's something you have to opt into when making the poll. Sometimes people choose not to tick that box because they don't want to risk spam answers, and sometimes they just don't think of it.
^ lmao like they're arent any spammers already sinse they can still comment or spam the votes themselves (most of them or all of them) and honestly i would tick the box, for better or worse, because spammers are spammers and they're always gonna spam what they find.
That's why I never tick it. Or because sometimes people will add spiteful answers; like 'x character because character y sucks.' Or 'neither, both suck'.
I'm interested in seeing their thoughts and the reason behind why the chose what they did,it can be pretty interesting and comments really could maybe give you a different point of view on what the pick is asking as well!
I like it when people comment to explain their opinion. It's a bit more interesting than just the poll result on its own, which is all votes give you. Obviously some polls are so simple that it's hard to think of comments to make, though.
And the whole point of making a poll is to get votes.
