‘Glee’ Ratings Rise For Finale, NCAA Tournament Even With 2014, ‘Cristela’ Up As ABC Wins Night
With flashbacks, fast forwards, Oval Office aspirations and a tribute to Cory Monteith,
(0.8/3) sang its last song last night after 6 seasons on the air. Even with being relegated to a new direction on Fridays this season, the “2009” titled season closer was actually up last year’s finale when it ran on a much more watched Tuesday. Matching the season high note of its January 9 premiere, Friday’s 2-hour
leap up 33% from the 1-hour 8 PM May 23, 2014 Season 5 ender. With a season high of a viewership of 2.70 million, last night’s
stepped up 44% from the audience of its Season 5 ender. Week-to-week, last night’s Glee was up 14% from its March 15 show among adults 18-49.

As Glee ended, the 2015 NCAA Tournament had its first Friday primetime games with Robert Morris taking on Duke and St.
John’s battling San Diego State on CBS. In preliminary numbers the game average a 1.2/4 rating among the key demo with 3.81 million total viewers. Of course, this being live sports, those numbers are likely to change in final adjusted ratings.
However, as it stands right now, with the Blue Devils and the Aztecs decisive wins last night, the first Friday of March Madness 2015 on CBS is even with the March 21 first Friday of March Madness 2014 among adults 18-49. Viewershipwise, last night’s primetime games on CBS slipped a tiny 2% from the comparative night in 2014. Night-to-night comparisons, Friday’s games on CBS were down 40% from the first Thursday of March Madness, when there was that nail biter between Cincinnati and Purdue. Last year, in early non-adjusted numbers, the Friday primetime NCAA games rose 9% from Thursday’s match-ups, which had not performed well to say the least. As you head into the weekend, remember, CBS isn’t the only one showing the games. March Madness is on TBS, TruTV and TNT too.
Once again, CBS should just air games on the weekends and let cable have the rest. of...

As for the rest of what was on TV last night – well, it was a pretty good effort against the competition of college b-ball to say the least. ABC was back in the top spot for the night both in the demo with a 1.3/5 rating and in overall viewers with 6.282 million. Part of that was having the highest rated show of the night in
(1.8/6), which matched its demo result of last week. The entrepreneurial reality show was also the most watched show of the night with 7.45 million tuning in – that t-shirt guy certainly had an eye-catching idea. ABC’s duel win was also from comedies
(1.0/4) rising 8% and 11% from last week. Ending the night for ABC,
tragedy and case, was even with its March 13 show.
(1.1/4) in the Friday 8 PM time slot found the fantasy drama even with its last original of February 13 at 9 PM. A 2-hour
(1.3/4) rose 8% from last week. Over on the CW,

Why no mention of CWs I Zombie. It was surprisingly good. I am tired of all the demon/vampire/zombie shows, but this one was unique, well acted and well written. It reminded me of pushing daisies, and dead like me.
It was quirky and original. I love the idea that a zombie doctor gives up a career to work at the morgue so she does not have to kill for the brains she needs to eat, and then finds that she also takes on the knowledge of how the brain owners died. And like Pushing daisies, the knowledge from beyond the grave helps her help the police to solve the crime.
The lead actress is perfect for the role with the right attitude.
Once again, CBS should just air games on the weekends and let cable have the rest. of course they could air the championship game on Monday night as usual.
