My mom was in college, but I guess she's one of those people that grows out of it. Sort of ironic, because when she noticed I was interested in it she tried steering me away- now she's sort of giving in because she realizes it's something I genuinely enjoy, not an act of emotional distress.

my mom is sorta dark-ish
all her life, she was different from her family. they were Catholic, but she didnt feel the same about God. and she always liked the darker side a little more than the light. when she got older, she found a book about this religion named Wiccan, a religion that worships the earth. she felt a bond, and ran with it. at this moment, she is a 32-yr-old practicing Wiccan who loves heavy metal/dark music (ex. Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment, Otep, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Flyleaf) and is covered in tattoos.

my dad is more like a biker
he was brought up Lutheran (my own personal religion in my family that i posses with my grandarents [his parents]) but, like my mother, he felt sort of alienated. now he is an agnostic, shaven-head, bearded&mustached, heavy-set, tattooed 31-yr-old who loves country (Jason Aldean) and heavy metal (FFDP).

(most of my more gothic or punk or bad-ass friends think my parents are awsome. whatevr....)

im like my folks:
-i love dark stuff, like my mother
-i love most of the same bands as her (Evanescence, In This Moment, Flyleaf, Three Days Grace, etc.), tho i dont really like heavy metal
-im tough and smart like my dad
-im super sensitive like my mom

but im not:
-i pretty much always dress in dark clothes (theres always something black on my body)
-when i speak in a dark way about dark things, my mom gives me this weird look
-im Lutheran (but my mom is trying to get me into her religion....no thanks)
-im just, all together, like them, but NOT like them

im physically a regular 13-yr-old girl who dresses in alot of dark clothes and wears some halloween-y jewelry, but mentally im a total dark, romantic, gothic, twisted, morbid gothabilly who cant get enough of anything dark

Sadly no. I wish though, then I could be myself without watching what I do. My mom is just now getting used to my Manson contacts.

I think no but father is a real heaby metal fan and mother used to love rock too, especially nightwish, so I can say that they influenced me a bit :)
