I dunno, actually... I find the things that I'm truly a অনুরাগী of are the ones I'm prepared to get up in arms to defend when people bash it. Haters kind of serve a purpose in the world of fandoms in that regard - at least, that's how I see it.

That's a way to respond, but do আপনি really "join" fandoms for the purpose of defending it from people who insult it, অথবা insult আপনি for liking it?

That's not what I meant; actually, it's haters that help me determine IF I'm actually a অনুরাগী of something, I mean anybody can like anything, sure, but it takes a অনুরাগী to actually defend it from people who constantly bash it. Also, it's really useful in examining your own reasons for liking something; আপনি have to examine whatever it is you're defending closely, understanding what people consider to be the bad and what আপনি see as the good, measuring them up and all. Haters can go a long way to helping আপনি understand something আপনি প্রণয় much better দ্বারা making আপনি get up in arms to defend it, and for that, I think they serve a necessary (if somehwat hated) function (and yes, I'm aware that many people will naturally take the time and effort to examine closely the things they are অনুরাগী of, but I'm talking for the people - like me - who are a little too lazy to do it unless they come under আগুন over them)
