Does the wizarding sociaty have social services?

Is there any official/canon implication/info on this?

I mean, yes, magic is rare. Jo has ব্যক্ত that there's approximately 3000 magical people in Britain. But, that's unrealistic seeing to a few facts about the wizarding society...but then, Jo has also ব্যক্ত that she's not good at thinking in numbers. So I believe it's নিরাপদ to vision that there are at least 15.000-20.000 magical people in Britain, could easily be more. After all the population of Britain is in TENS of MILLIONS. So tens অথবা even hundreds of thousands would still have magic be rare.

For the sake of the status of secrecy, shouldn't they have their own social service systems? But I don't recall the বই ever mentioning any.

However, I've always imagined that there are orphanages dedicated to magical children, because surely they have their fair share of orphaned অথবা abandoned children who don't have other family members and can not possibly be sent to muggle orphanages. (I believe Voldemort ended up in a muggle orphanage for several in-story reasons, and because his character needed that background.)

But even if they didn't have their own orpghanages, they naturally must have SOME official service that takes care of critical family situations.

Like, suppose there's a wizard/witch child who is suspected of suffering abuse and neglect, অথবা downright is suffering such. Of course that child could not be refered to the muggles' social services because it would not only risk the status of secrecy for magic, but also be useless because the wizarding family could just throw spells on the muggle social service people to make them think there's nothing wrong.

So, is there any official info on if they have their own child care services for those kind of siuations? অথবা which authorities from the wizarding society should be reported to and would step in and take action?

they don't because they sent the boy who lived and savior of the whole world to his muggle relatives and someone has to know that Lilly's sister hates magic and someone would've reported that নমস্কার harry potter .looks was to small and is skinny enough that আপনি can practically see his অস্থি and is wearing clothes that belong on a giant pig? the abuse probably goes to the justice department but no one would notice it I mean Ms. ডুমুর sees it all and tells Dumbledore, I mean they're is a little kid that instead of going to a movie অথবা roller-coaster park would rather stay with an old lady? yeah not likely. if there were social services harry would be with someone else. so no social services!!!

I think you're forgetting that Harry was sent to live with the Dursleys because it was the only place in the world where Lily's প্রণয় could continue protecting him from Voldemort. I don't think the Dursleys really has anything to do with wether the wizarding community has social services অথবা not. I daresay the wizarding community even went to great lengths in order to keep the muggle social services away so that Harry would stay where he was safe. Because as bad as the Dursleys treated Harry, he was still much আরো নিরাপদ than he would've been elsewhere. They wouldn't have needes social services to take Harry away from theere if they thought it would've been better for him. After all, they were wizards and witches and the Dursleys didn't even want Harry. :) But that's just my theory. I may very well be wrong.

It's possible that JKR never considered the idea because it didn't fit into her story.

I don't think there are any, because as another answer points out, someone would have reported the Dursleys' treatment of Harry to them. It wouldn't have been possible to explain that he was there for the family protection, because that was meant to have been a secret. Also, you'd think that social services would have tracked Tom Riddle down, as a child of a pureblood mother and likely to have magic, before he was offered a place in Hogwarts. They just seem to rely on other departments to clear up any exposure which happens as a result of magical children being in the Muggle world.

As stated in my মতামত above, I don't thinK Harry's case has anything to do with the possible lack of social services in the wiz society. But those other points আপনি made are good. Besides, the wizarding society is so utterly and horribly disfunctional anyway that it's really most likely that they didn't have such a crucial service in place. :P But in my fanfiction world there were wizarding orphanages, simply because I don't see how magic could remain a secret from muggles as it apparently has, if they only relied on some departments of the Ministry of Magic. For I indeed do believe there was tens of thousands if not even hundreds of thousands magical people in Britain - and only one Ministry of Magic...

The সেকেন্ড chapter of PS/SS states that there were wizards and witches who met Harry briefly before he was 11. And there was Arabella Figg. These people would have noticed how he was being treated, the ill-fitting clothes etc. They probably wouldn't know about Lily's protection. I don't even think the Ministry knew about this, only Dumbledore. These people would have therefore reported Harry's condition to magical social services if those existed, because they wouldn't know why he shouldn't be taken away from his surviving relatives.

Other departments clear up messes caused দ্বারা adults and Hogwarts aged people. Why wouldn't they also clear up the accidental magic of kids?
