Krum swept Hermione up into the air and grinned as she giggled. "I have never seen a girl that vos as vunderful at dancing as you," he whispered. She blushed bright পরাকাষ্ঠা and turned away, but quickly turned back as she noticed Ron's red face looking like it was about to explode. Krum saw this a well, and grabbed her wrist, dancing their way out of the room. Tittering, they made their way to an empty classroom.
"Hermy-own," Krum began. "I must confess, আপনি are vun of my পছন্দ people."
"M-me too," Hermione murmered.
"So vood আপনি like to — if আপনি vood like — visit me in Bulgaria?"
"Viktor, yes!"
Hermione squealed and pecked his cheek, flushed. Krum, now completely pink, grabbed her shoulders and kissed her lightly on the lips. Hermione, ecstatic, threw her arms around him and kissed him back. Hermione, with a trembling smile, broke apart and saw Ginny peeking in.
"Ginny! That was a private moment!" Hermione squealed.
Ginny chortled. "I SHIP!" she called as she sped off.

Pros
1. Most of them did believe they were choosing the winning side at the time
2. They would likely be killed if they refused, অথবা otherwise punished.
3. If they come from old pureblood families which share the Death Eaters' beliefs, joining up would help maintain family harmony
4. If they're naturally malicious it gives them an opportunity to kill and torture
Cons
1. Most people wouldn't want to be forced to murder. They might be pushed beyond their own limits, e.g. Draco Malfoy.
2. They'd get imprisoned in Azkaban if caught, অথবা could be killed in self-defence
3. Leaving isn't an option once you're in
4. After they lost, those who'd survived would lose favour even if they avoided punishment
5. Voldemort doesn't seem to be a nice boss
6. It's a story really, and in most stories, the bad guys do end up losing and being punished.
