Okay, I seriously wasn't going to go here but I feel the need to express my opinion a little further. So I have heard some of আপনি say " The Harry Potter series will be re-made to keep up with time, অথবা keep the legend alive". That is fine that আপনি have that opinion, but I only have one অথবা two questions. আপনি don't think the movie series will live on as a classic. Its the শীর্ষ earning movie series in the world, not counting inflation. It has the best British cast in the world. Besides I think Hollywood avoids remakes if they can unless they are trying to make quick money. And if they do remake a movie it is usually not one as complex and big as The Harry Potter series. That would be like someone trying to remake the entire "Star Wars" saga. Even classics like "Jaws" people don't think of touching. Speaking of "Jaws" and "Star Wars" they don't have to be remade to keep up with times. As different technologies come out they adapt them. "Gone with the Wind" and "The Wizard of Oz" came out in 1939 and are both on Blu-ray as we speak. There have been spin-offs. The "Star Wars" series has the animated clone wars cartoon. And in talks are " Dorothy of Oz" where she returns to oz and " Oz the Great and Powerful" exploring how the wizard got there to পান্না City but I don't think anyone would ever think of trying to Replace Judy Garland as "Dorothy". অথবা Mark Hamill,Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford as "Luke Skywalker", "Princess Leia" and "Han Solo". And judging from the impact and success these চলচ্চিত্র have had I don't think another person would attempt to fill Dan, Emma, and Rupert's shoes as "Harry", "Hermione" and "Ron". অথবা how many of us have even said: Alan Rickman is "Snape", no one could do it better, same with Helena as "Bellatrix", অথবা Evanna as "Luna" etc. Horror চলচ্চিত্র are just scary fun and they get re-made alot. Even some of the small but big characters that try and get re-created দ্বারা another actor of today fail badly, but are okay. But they never live up to even a 1/3 of the Original. "Halloween" and "Psycho" are two examples. আপনি may ask why I feel so strongly against this. I have an answer. Because I grew up with the বই and চলচ্চিত্র right from the beginning for both of them. In 97 অথবা 98 I got the "Sorcerers Stone", In 2001 I saw the first movie; and since then I bought each book as it came out and saw every movie in the theater opening day. Believe me some of my পছন্দ parts have been left out too. But after a while I figured আপনি have to enjoy each as a separate thing. Besides if Jo is happy with the movies, and she oversees the changes. Then that's good enough for me. Its her world and if she is proud of the চলচ্চিত্র made from her books. Than I am too.

slytherinangel Yeah wonderful point! I don't think harry potter will ever be remade because it was just so well done in the first place. You can't recast Harry or Hermione or anyone in the series because the people they found to play the roles of every character just fit so perfectly. Plus we have seen these same characters played by the same people since 2001. It would be outrageous to even consider remaking it because by the time Harry potter ends we will have had 11 years of the same people playing those parts. There's no redoing the films at all.

demigod_wizard I agree with slytherinangel.I don't think they could ever find people who would play HP characters as good as these actors do.I mean,can you imagine anyone else playing Snape???Alan Rickman is sooo perfect.Or the Trio????

lilith84 Great article! You are absolutely right. There are just some movies that are not supposed to be remade. You named perfect examples. Classic should stay classic. Don't you just love watching old movies like Gone with the Wind or Wizard of Oz and feel a little nostalgic? I bet it's gonna be like that with HP in few decades. Besides, some things are just so good, you can't make them any better (although I would - if I could - try to change few things in OOTP and HBP, but that's beside the point). Remakes just make me feel angry sometimes. Why the hell someone felt the need to make a new Batman?! NO ONE will ever beat Jack Nicholson as Joker in my eyes, the new one can just suck it. Or Robin Hood?! What was wrong with the first one?!(okay, it sucked, but Alan Rickman as Sheriff is perfect and nobody can beat it). Making new versions of old movies feels like people lost their creativity and are trying to perfect old ideas and most of the time they fail. So yeah, leave Harry Potter alone, it just won't get better than it already is. :)

Tom1618 Ok, no. I would LOVE for the Harry Potter movies to be remade! LOVE IT! You try to compare it to Jaws and Star Wars, but those are originally movies. Harry Potter is originally a book. Very different. But really, just think of how much cooler the movies could have been! A lot of the movie series was EXTREMELY disappointing. The basilisk; the new Dumbledore; the cheesy, over theatrical ending to The Order of the Phoenix; the weird, emo energy of The Prisoner of Azkaban; etc. of course, we would lose some perfect casting like Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith, but we would also gain better replacements for characters like Dumbledore, Mad Eye, Tonks, etc. As Harry Potter fans, you should embrace a new artistic interpretation of an amazing book series that one movie series would never capture. We are more fans of the books than of the movies. We are trying to stay true to the books. We shouldn't care as much about how we change the look of the movie.

dbmck Apparently this lady did not get the memo or read what the author said! Cause J.K. Rowling said and I quote " Yes there is going to be a remake of harry potter movies in 2017 cause it will keep me richer and popular with that being said I will no longer be writing the harry potter books cause the new movies will take the place of new harry potter books." So like it or not folks these are the factual statements from the author herself. Now my personal opinion is that there should be no remake of harry potter with that being said i am not the author she is her own boss.

Flickerflame ^When did she ever say that? If she did, are you sure she wasn't joking or being sarcastic? I think there might be remakes in the future, when hopefully they'll take the opportunity to include several aspects these first films omitted. But I don't think they'll be for a while.

elsafan1010 I agree. Harry Potter shouldn’t be remade. If it does, I won’t watch it like what the heck now I can’t change the voice and apperances I loved!
