It’s been many years, but I am still trapped in a glass case of emotion over the life and times of the marauders.

Nope. No, we will not. So here are some headcanons to both lift you up and crush you.

1. Just think about all the details these fools went through to be there for their friend.

2. Because they know that Remus Lupin is the biggest nerd in all the land and

4. She was, after all, their unofficial and vaguely disapproving professor sponsor.

6. And you know Lily seized upon the opportunity to make this happen.

8. These people saw the absolute best and worst of each other as they grew up.

9. And that they (or at least most of them) were there to hold each other up through the worst of it.

10. Helping each other get through the day-to-day, month-to-month.

11. While trying to retain the things about themselves and their pack that made them love each other so fiercely in the first place.

13. They knew you just gotta keep keepin’ on.

18. This definitely happened, probably during James’ “stag party” before the wedding.

19. And damn they were excited when the next generation made its first appearance.

20. Thinking of all the foolery they’d bring to Harry’s life.

25. WHY ARE WE EVEN ALLOWED TO FEEL FEELINGS IN THIS WORLD.

27. THEY NEVER STOPPED PROTECTING EACH OTHER.

28. And they never stopped missing each other.

29. But hey, at least we know they never stopped turning up.

30. Especially once all of them were there together.

33. *Sigh*. At least this headcanon works to mend some of Harry’s questionably decision-making.
