I am pissed that nice people like Tonks and Lupin died but then evil people like them live on. Rowling even said they managed to escape Azkaban -_-

Plus, the Malfoys have been hurt mentally by Azkaban. Despite them being antagonists, I liked the ending.

Lupin and Tonks are the biggest Mary Sues of HP. They are perfectly fine dead. Sorry. The Malfoys were great characters. All of them.

Why do you say Remus was a Mary Sue? He was socially awkward and was poor (he wore shabby clothes) because he was a werewolf and nobody wanted to give him a job due to his condition. Tonks was not pretty and was clumsy. I don't think they are Mary Sues.

In my opinion, Lucius was the only truly evil Malfoy -- Draco was brainwashed from a young age and Narcissa was too scared to be anything but. In truth, I think, Narcissa was actually good, deep down; she just never had the chance to show it. Until then she did, in the Forest... so it would have been extremely ironic if she'd died. The only good Malfoy.
Though, in a way, this applies to Draco also -- he turned good(ish) too, right? Except that because of his brainwashing, it'd probably take him longer to "fully recover" from his world views, whereas Narcissa thinks and and believes them. Which is why she should have died, just so the world would be a little more unjust.

It was one of the things that annoyed me the most, good people died and the Malfoy's get off without any punishment whatsoever.

I liked the end for them,cause i love them,wouldn't bear it if any of them died!!!But i don't like the fact Draco married Astoria!!!!

I like that Rowling went somewhat more grey than sticking black and white on this point. Not all the good guys survived or even got terribly noble and dramatic death scenes, not everyone who had done wrong died or went to jail, it's not about characters deserving to die, it's about the deaths that give the story most depth and lead it to a most interesting place, and I think the Malfoy's story ended well. Besides, I find the idea of the Malfoys readjusting to society, having gone through all they did and being in a situation where they don't quite respectfully fit either side a more interesting idea than them being dead (between Draco's attitude, Narcissa's actions and Lucius and Narcissa choosing finding Draco over the death eaters they don't fit the bad guy side, but obviously considering everything else they don't fit the good guys).
Plus, I just love the Malfoys, their characters and their arc, Not the only reason I'm glad they didn't die (I really liked some who died, but wouldn't remove their deaths) but I'd have been gutted to lose them, and think the end they got was best :)

Tonks and Lupin are Mary Sues? ..Seriously? Wow. Tonks I can kind of understand (but still no in my opinion) but Lupin a mary sue? Cmon..

Lucius never really was there for ol' Voldie. His faith was questioned numerous times. He was scared of Voldemort, not a true follower. I believe many of his "loyal" Death Eaters were not truly there for him, nor did Voldie need them. He always acted upon his own accord and that did get him far. Bellatrix is most likely the only exception.

Anyway, no, I think it was right, it fits the family character. It was funny when they were just huddled in the corner of the Great Hall, among the people who were fighting against them.
