Taylor Swift dreams of Harry Styles reunion? Plus, her BFF Lorde blasts Diplo

Sigmund Freud believed that dreams represented the struggles of our unconscious minds to deal with the reality of events in our lives, and therefore, he expounded that dream analysis was key to understanding the human psyche and furthermore that they represented wish fulfilment…

So he may well have been interested to hear that pop star Taylor Swift had a dream about an ex-boyfriend recently – and it may or may not have been One Direction star Harry Styles, who she dated briefly around two years ago – and in the dream, though Taylor wanted to be casual and aloof when face to face with her former lover, instead, she sang the word ‘Stay’ at him as he stood on her doorstep.

So you don’t need to be a psychoanalyst like Freud to figure out the meaning of that dream sequence…

It was while speaking to Time that Taylor revealed the details of her dream, saying that the dream was, “One of those embarrassing dreams, where you’re mortified in the dream [and] you’re humiliated.”

She added, “In the dream, my ex had come to the door to beg for me to talk to him…

“I opened the door and I went to go say, ‘Hi,’ or ‘What are you doing here?’ or something normal, but all that came out was this high-pitched singing that said, ‘Stay!’”

That dream was the inspiration for her hit ‘All You Had to Do Was Stay’, which many insist was about Harry.

But as Taylor rightly pointed out recently – after Olly Murs accused her of “going on” about Harry for way too long after their split – why shouldn’t she write about events in her life? Plenty do, but it’s very true that she seems to be singled out for it, bless her.

And talking of being singled out, Diplo chose to insult Taylor – for apparently no reason – on Twitter recently, writing, “Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty.”

Not unreasonably, his remark didn’t go down well with Taylor’s fans, and nor was it well received by her BFF Lorde, who – and good for her – bit back…

Taking to her own Twitter account, Lorde wrote this message…
