I don't know about the rest of you, but as far as "Let Them Eat Cake" is concerned, I loved it and hated it as well. I loved that House seemingly হারিয়ে গেছে all chances with Cuddy and, even আরো so, I loved the fact that he took the time and effort to make up for it. But the ending left me furious all over again. The "stripper" অথবা whomever she may have been was দ্বারা no means something that left a smile on my face, so I re-wrote the ending. Enjoy.
The tears in her eyes shimmered in the faint ambiance of her new-found office and the ডেস্ক before her. Wilson looked on in a momentary trance at the thought of House walking the path of redemption. They both stood in awe as they looked upon one another for some sort of answer, but, as fate would have it, neither of them could offer an explanation. A smile of euphoric transcendence painted itself upon her face, and she, nearly bursting with adrenalin, left the room. Wilson watched as she pranced down the halway and released a long-awaited sigh of relief that the impossible had finally begun to fall into place.
When she felt as if no one was looking, she sprinted as quickly as her high heels and tight স্কার্ট would allow, but just as she was about to approach his door, she hesitated. What am I going to say? She asked herself. She had been so caught up in the moment that she hadn't even thought of what she should say to him, let alone how she should say it. How do I honestly know that House did this? Maybe it was just another of Wilson's ploys to get House and I together. Would Wilson do that? Of course not...I think. Lisa, Listen to yourself; you're being ridiculous. Wilson wouldn't know anything about your desk. Right?
As she was standing outside his office, still running countless possibilities through her mind, he shouted from the other side of the glass, "As long as you're under the impression that these walls aren't see through আপনি might as well strip. Who's gonna know?"
She looked through the glass and saw him sitting in his chair with his feet propped on his desk. Now she was almost too embarassed to enter, but she needed to know the truth.
"House, can we talk?"
"No, there's a 'Young and Restless' marathon on tonight, and I don't want you're face spoiling my fun before I get home."
"Why'd আপনি do it?"
"If you're referring to lifetime supply of slimfasts in your backyard, I thought I was doing আপনি a favor."
"The desk."
"I'm just gonna assume that আপনি have a nervous tick because otherwise that statement really doesn't make any sense."
"The ডেস্ক that আপনি put in my office."
"That bastard! I specifically said, 'No desk.' I guess আপনি can't trust anyone these days. Good help is so hard to find."
"So you're saying that আপনি had nothing to do with this?"
"I guess that all depends. Are আপনি happy about it?"
"Of course I am. I loved that ডেস্ক when..."
"Ugh, if thats's the case, sorry, wasn't me. Doing আপনি a favor is not my idea of a good time."
"Then who did it?" she said, but House was beginning to lose all humor for the situation.
"Stop trying to force something out of me. I don't know anything about your damned med-school desk."
She just looked at him as she fell head first from her পূর্ববর্তি high. She looked in his eyes and said, "I don't know why I ever even gave আপনি a chance." She walked out, while he turned and began to pack his things.
That night she laid in her বিছানা for hours hoping that this nightmare would eventually stop replaying itself withing her mind, but his words just kept haunting her every thought. She tossed to and fro while watching the clock চুম্বন yet another ঘন্টা into eternity, but just as she was about to give up all hope, she realized something that she hadn't noticed before. Something that made everything make sense for that short period in time. She jumped out of বিছানা and, without even bothering to change from her tank শীর্ষ and pajama pants, she grabbed her keys and jumped into her car.
Within moments she was at the front door of House's apartment. Her steps were silent since she hadn't even bothered putting her shoes on. It was nearly 3 a.m. and she didn't want to wake anyone. She knocked on his door ever so softly. He didn't answer. She knocked louder, but nothing seemed to stir the silence. She waited. She hung her head low and begun to walk back down the hall, but just as she turned to leave, his door flung open in a fury.
He looked at her with bloodshot eyes, "Oh no. Mother always ব্যক্ত that the end of days would start like this."
"House I need to talk to you."
"Well conversations take two and I DON'T need to talk to আপনি so you're gonna have to wait for another time...like never."
"It's about the desk."
"Damn it. I told আপনি that I..."
"You told me that আপনি didn't know anything about my med-school desk, and that could have very well been true, but then I realized that I never ব্যক্ত that it was my ডেস্ক from MED-SCHOOL. আপনি did."
"I was guessing."
"House..." she whispered while moving closer to him. "I loved it!"
He looked at her, almost to say that he wasn't sure if he wanted to believe her. "You should go."
"You really want me to leave?"
"I wouldn't have ব্যক্ত that if I didn't."
She didn't know what to say. She honestly thought that her going over there would prove to him that she was willing to make things work with him. She bagan to cry and as she wiped the droplets from her face she stood on her tip-toes and kissed his cheek. "I guess this is it," she said, but he had no response, only eyes made of stone.
She turned and walked towards the door. He could still hear her trying to silence her cries. She put her hand on the door knob, and all at once she felt his hands. They were touching her back so gently. He moved them slowly to her waist and wrapped his arms around her. She could feel his lips on the skin of her neck and shoulders, স্নেহ চুম্বন her with passionate butterflies. He rocked her back and forth like a new-born child while smelling the perfume from her hair. He moved his hands down her arms and turned her towards him.
"I knew it was you," she whispered.
She kissed him while he pulled her closer. She never wanted to let him go, but all of the sudden her stared moving. What is he doing? she thought to herself but couldn't bring herself to stop. All at once he picked her up into his arms, still holding so tight. হারিয়ে গেছে in desire, he ignored all pain in his leg and slowly carried her off into the shadows.
