I like Kagome more. She is young, but still knows how to make ইনুয়াসা feel at ease, she cares about him, and what's even আরো important: she trusts him. I remark this point, because that's one of the reasons I didn't support the idea of Inu×Kikyo pairing, because Kikyo wasn't able to trust him and thus prevent everyone from falling into Naraku's trap. Anyway, putting the shippin' stuff aside, Kikyo is a deep worthy character. She's mature, mentally strong and she has some control over Naraku that I really enjoy. But, going back to Kagome, at least to my eyes she's demonstrated that she can handle situations in better and smarter ways than Kikyo.
I do আরো like Kagome than Kikyo. Simply because She taught ইনুয়াসা how to smile and rely to friends, she even taught him to trust other people. I've never seen ইনুয়াসা played stone, paper, scissors which Kagome made him to. On my opinion, Kagome is way better than Kikyo, she'd never hate her. It's fine to her seeing ইনুয়াসা with Kikyo even she felt pain to it she stayed with Inuyasha, which is seldom people could do.
Personally i like Kagome আরো because she has a cheerful and helpful personality which makes her really likable. Kikyo is portrayed as someone who wants to be normal but fails to do so. She has a quiet personality but is willing to help. So i like Kikyo less than I like Kagome.
