i would have also said Alice Nine too..they both are amazing ^^

i love D'espairsRay and the GazettE equally but 4 a starter i would sagest the GazettE

L'Arc~en~Ciel was the first band that got me into Jrock and if it weren't for my friend I wouldn't be into them at all or Jrock for that matter. I also would recommend the other ones to people though!

I'd actually go with Malice Mizer, thats who got me into Visual Kei to begin with.

I would suggest Alice Nine to start off because a lot of people I know it would be better to show them music that isn't so hard core like the GazettE(no offense, I like them too) for example:

If I showed them the GazettE first.
Friend: Turn it off! It is all over the place!!!

If I showed them Alice Nine.
Friend: This sounds pretty good!
Awhile later I show them the GazettE.
Friend: They sound cool.

But everyone is different, I still suggest Alice Nine as a starter tho.
Now if you are a metal fan than you should start with the GazettE!
