As we all know, the creatively invented pairing of Lucius Malfoy and Lily Evans is quite an extraordinary one, being the Marauder Era Dramione. It is relatively barren when it comes to fans, but entirely rich when it comes to possibilities. Just like other AU couples, this one is chocked full of imagination, surely containing আরো of it than the proceeding, present দিন ship of Dramione. A প্রশ্ন that does not fail to emerge within my mind when the L/L shipping is mentioned is what their civility level towards each other was. Much unlike Draco and Hermione, Lucius and Lily could have been fairly nice to each other when in school and out.
If আপনি remember correctly, Draco Malfoy, Lucius’ son, mentioned Abraxas Malfoy, Lucius’ father, to charm Professor Horace Slughorn into letting him যোগদান the Slug Club, and almost succeeded, due to the fact that Lucius’ dad was very favorable to Slughorn. This fact alone tells us that Abraxas was very well-respected and a good man in Horace’s’ eyes. It should be noted that the Potion Master despised the thought of labeling Muggle-Borns as Mudbloods. Perhaps this was the case with Lucius? Slughorn did not accept Draco because of his arrogant personality, right? But he accepted Lucius… This may mean that Lucius was not like his son during his years of schooling, which also means that his hate for Muggle-Borns was nonexistent at a young age. In addition, he liked Severus Snape, even when he was a half-blood.
Having this within our heads, we have a much clearer view of what it may have been like back then with Lily and Lucius. Since his hate for her type of people came later on in life, then perhaps he was kind to her in his younger days. Some way অথবা another, the two must have talked to each other, due to their connection with Snape and the Slug Club...
Think about it a bit, won’t you? The possibilities are endless… ;]
