Michael Emerson's acting performance in the episode The Shape of Things to Come was one of the best performances of acting I have ever seen! It takes a great actor to make the audience feel unanimous anger towards him, and manage to turn that around and make us feel compasion for him. If Michael doesn't win the Emmy this season it will be the biggest Emmy snub ever!

Michael Emerson is great, too, but Desmond's phone call with Penny stands out for me as being one the best-acted scenes ever on the show. Cusick is great at playing a variety of emotions.

The Shape of Things to Come. Seriously. He deserves an Emmy just for that episode. Especially the look on his face when he said, "They changed the rules." Oh and definitely for his season finale performance tonight. Wow!
