When Mako first met Korra, he thought she was another one of link's "crazy অনুরাগী girls".Later when he finds out Korra was Avatar, and joined the আগুন Ferrets, he was still tough to her.
After the end of Korra and Bolin's date, Mako confronted Korra and accused her of playing games to get back at him. Korra saw his facade and remarked that he was jealous , which he strongly denied, using his relationship with link as an excuse.
