I want your honest opinions, like I did with the breaking dawn theories please!!
I shot down the highway at almost one-hundred-miles per hour, to the hospital where Carlisle worked.
I could still taste Bella Swan's scent in the back of my mouth. So sweet, like lavender...or fresia...?
I ground my teeth together, and clamped my hands down hard on the steering wheel, at the same time trying to keep it in one piece.
I needed a distraction. I popped in a Debussy CD, one of my favorites. It did little to calm me, but I was distracted as I tried to find each pattern of সঙ্গীত in the songs. I would trade cars with Carlisle, if I decided to leave, at least.
I pulled into a vacant parking মহাকাশ and jumped out of the car, taking slow, deep breaths through my mouth, trying to wash it out.
Once inside, the hospital's odor did the trick, and I was able to think much আরো clearly.
"Dr. Cullen, please," I requested to Mrs. Hobbins, the hospital's secretary. I drummed my fingers on the counter while she moved at an unbearably slow human pace to check his schedule on the computer.
I could hardly believe I was here. I was running away from a human. When Carlisle had been changed, he survived an impossible length of time without feeding. And one whiff of this girl and I was fleeing my home.
And even worse, I was outstandingly ashamed. I wondered what my other siblings must think, especially Esme. Rosalie had never tasted human blood. How could I ভালুক her triumphant thoughts when she confirmed that I ran away?
Rosalie had always somewhat annoyed me. She was extremely vain and cocky. It was sometimes very displeasurable to be in her thoughts as she admired herself in every way possible.
Mrs. Hobbins was having trouble bringing up Carlisle's schedule, it seemed.
How adorable, she cooed, stealing glances at me every few seconds. Must be his son. The whole Cullen family is outstandingly goodlooking. Especially that Carlisle!! But he's married, after all... she sighed, then smiled as the schedule finally popped up on the screen. "He should be on the সেকেন্ড floor, checking over Katie Reckles in room two-hundred."
"Thank-you," I murmured, and turned to call the elevator.
Such beautiful, butterscotch eyes, I heard her think as I walked away. And so practiced at his work! And that hair...
Despite myself, I grinned. Sometimes it was useful to read minds.
Carlisle was just walking out of Katie's room when he smelled my presence and turned.
"What do আপনি need, son?" he asked.
"I'm leaving, Carlisle," I said. "I would like to trade cars with you, if that's okay."
There was a long pause.
"Where are আপনি going?" he finally asked.
I hesitated. "I'm not sure," I said. "I was thinking to the North, maybe..."
"Head to Denali," Carlisle told me. "To Tanya and her clan. They're always so hospitable. Go in peace." He pressed his car keys into my palm.
"Thank-you," I muttered. I looked deep into my father's eyes. There was no trace of shame অথবা anger in them, just concern as he read my wild expression. His thoughts were the same. The guilt, the hatred I felt toward myself for being weak, sickened me. I stalked out of the room.
The purr of the jet black car was sane and comforting.
I thought about my current situation.
For once in my life I didn't know what to do. I was stuck. If I did go to Denali, as Carlisle suggested, how long would I have to stay? Would it have to be until Bella died? Until she went insane from being in Forks and was forced to move? Alice would give me the heads up on that. অথবা would I simply have to come back and kill her? Would the scent of her blood be ever stamped on my memory, torturing me in Alaska, forcing me to come back?
Or, maybe, I could learn to get used to it. I could stay in Forks and pretend like none of this had ever happened. I could hold my breath around her until, maybe, I got used to the scent. That would be as great of an accomplishment as any.
But I knew that was useless. I was too weak. I would never be as good as Carlisle, who could, if he were me, handle the scent as if it were nothing, while I just sat here cowering in fear of a little girl!?
So to Denali, then. I hastily backed out of the lot and raced down the highway at শীর্ষ speed.
