“*yawn* Ahh…” I wake up today, just like any other day, on the বিছানা in my workshop, but this time, I’m fully rested, because I actually have the time. Sonic’s been off on an adventure for the past few weeks, and I’ve been, well, bored out of my mind. Neither flying the Tornado nor flying with my tails around Station Square has changed that that. I get out of my বিছানা and check on the Tornado. It’s still there, in the same condition that it was yesterday. I walk outside, expecting nothing, but instead, he’s there.

    “Message for you, Tails!” Bokkun… “Dr. Eggman asked me to deliver this to আপনি right away!” He takes one of his small TV’s out of his messenger bag and gives it to me. On the screen appears none other than Eggman. “Hello, শিয়াল boy.” His mustache seems to flap with his mouth. I sigh and reply, “What do আপনি want, Eggman. Sonic isn’t here, আপনি know.” He chuckles a little bit, making me wonder if the reason he called is because of Sonic. “I know that,” he says. “He sure has been gone a long time, hasn’t he?” He’s hiding something. Just because I can’t see his eyes through those sunglasses doesn’t mean I can’t tell when he is.

    “Stop this ruse, Eggman!” I exclaim. “What have আপনি done to Sonic?!” Eggman lets out a long “hmm” before answering, “Besides capturing him? Nothing yet.” He chuckles yet again. There’s something up his sleeve, something আরো than just capturing Sonic, but I can’t imagine he actually caught him. “I don’t believe it. One of your traps actually worked? I need proof.” A wide smile spreads under his mustache before he says, “You want proof? I’ll give আপনি proof.” The view on the TV shifts to my left and I see a spiky blue wheel trying to carve its way through thick glass. When it uncurls, I see none other than Sonic. I yell his name in worry.

    “And it’s not just him I have.” The view pans back to Eggman, who still has that smile on his mustachioed face. “I also have Amy and Cream, who were foolish enough to actually try and rescue him. Make sure আপনি don’t make the same mistake.” What does he plan to do to Sonic? Why capture him? “I know what you’re thinking, শিয়াল boy. I can see it in your eyes. You’re wondering what I’m going to do to Sonic.” His smile turns into a smirk.

    “Do আপনি really want to know, Tails? Do আপনি remember Metal?” Of course I do. “You mean that failed prototype of a Sonic clone?” I ask rhetorically. First Metal Sonic tried to kidnap Amy, and then he became an evil mastermind. There’s no way I couldn’t remember him. “Well, this time,” starts Eggman. “I will build the perfect Metal! And this time, Sonic won’t be able to stop him, because Sonic will be part of Metal! Ha, ha, ha, ha! Say good-bye to the world as আপনি know it.”

    Bokkun flies off and chuckles before yelling, “Have fun with your exploding message!” In reply, Eggman says, “Before that happens, I’d like to tell আপনি not to stop my খুঁজুন for the Chaos Emeralds. It could get pretty messy if আপনি interfere. And tell Knuckles that his Master পান্না is নিরাপদ with me. Good-bye, শিয়াল boy!” Without bothering to reply, I throw the TV onto the plateau in front of my workshop, and within a few seconds, it explodes.

    I’m about to head back into my workshop when I look in the direction of অ্যাঞ্জেল Island, and then it hits me that Eggman couldn’t possibly have the Master Emerald, because it’s still floating in midair. “RRRRGGGHHH!” Uh-oh! That was Knuckles. Something must have happened, and it can’t be good. “Give that back to me, আপনি little black devil!” Knuckles’ voice rings out over the entire Mystic Ruins as he continues to yell. From his description, I’d have to assume that Bokkun is stealing something. To see what’s going on, I fly to the শীর্ষ of the tallest plateau in the Ruins and see অ্যাঞ্জেল Island fall near the coast as a black spec flies off with the Master পান্না in tow. “Knuckles!” I yell. I wind up my tails and fly toward the spot where অ্যাঞ্জেল Island fell.

    When I get there, I see the red echidna running toward the direction of my workshop, probably to get to Station Square. I yell Knuckles’ name as I land near him. “Tails!” he replies. “Did আপনি just see that? Eggman গাউন the Master Emerald! AGAIN! That stupid messenger robot is taking it to him right now! I’m going there right now! Get Sonic and tell him to help me out, will you?!” Knuckles is getting way ahead of himself. “Wait a second!” I exclaim. “That’s gonna be a problem.”

    “Problem? Why? Whatever Sonic is doing can most likely wait!”
    “But it can’t! Eggman’s got Sonic!”
    “He what?!”
    “Yes. That’s why Sonic’s been gone for so long.”
    “Wait, wait, wait! Eggman actually captured Sonic?”
    “I know, I find it hard to believe, too, but I saw with my own eyes that Sonic is with Eggman. Not only that, but he has Amy and Cream as well.”
    “But why capture Sonic?”

    “Eggman, he…” I pause for a second. I don’t really like the thought of this that much, but unless I do something like telling Knuckles, it will be inevitable. “He’s gonna build another Metal Sonic, but this time, he’s gonna use Sonic as a base, and unless we do something, Sonic will be gone forever, and Metal will wreak havoc on the world.” Knuckles clenches his fist and punches the ground as he says, “Does Eggman even know when to stop?!” I sigh and answer, “We both know he doesn’t, but getting Sonic and the Master পান্না was just the first step. Now he’s trying to get the Chaos Emeralds. The only way to save Sonic and the Master পান্না is to stop Eggman from getting the Chaos Emeralds, and that’s already in progress.” Knuckles raises one eyebrow as he asks, “What do আপনি mean দ্বারা that?” I figure it’s better to প্রদর্শনী him than tell him, so I reply, “Come on, I’ll প্রদর্শনী you.” and lead him to my workshop.

    When we get there, I go into my room and open one of the drawers in my nightstand, and in it lays an Emerald, the red one to be exact. “You already have one?” he asks. I smile and respond, “Yep! I found it while flying around Spagonia the other day. I figured I’d keep it নিরাপদ with me.” Knuckles closes his eyes and leans his head down. Within a few seconds, he opens his eyes and says, “I think I felt an পান্না near Ice টুপি earlier. We’ve got to get there before Eggman does.” I nod my head and respond, “Let’s go!”

    We leave my workshop and start running toward Ice টুপি as fast as we can, and within two minutes, we reach the entrance only to see Eggman himself flying toward us in his hovercraft, and in his hand, he has the blue Chaos Emerald. “Ah, শিয়াল boy. I expected to run into আপনি here, and I hope you’re not trying to get this.” He holds the পান্না out and up, letting it catch the sun’s light. However, that’s when I notice what is attached to his hovercraft. “SONIC!” I yell. Sonic is in a thick glass tube beside the hovercraft. The tube has many scratches on it, probably from his attempts at trying to carve his way out of it. “Tails!” he yells back.

    “Sonic, I—!” Before I can even say the পরবর্তি word, I’m interrupted দ্বারা Sonic. “No time for talking, Tails! আপনি don’t know what he’s gonna do to you! A Metal prototype is here with him, and you’re his first test for him! আপনি need to get out of here now!” All I get out is the word “but” before I’m interrupted again. “No ‘buts’, Tails!” I can take care of myself, though. I can handle Metal all দ্বারা myself! I need to save Sonic! “I’m not gonna just leave you, Sonic!” Sonic’s eyes widen out of worry as he says, “Help me out here, Knuckles!” Knuckles lets out a small chuckle before replying, “I think আপনি have আরো influence over him than I do. If he wants to help you, let him, and আপনি and I both know there’s no stopping him once he gets his mind set on something.”

    Sonic opens his mouth, but before he can even say anything, Eggman says, “Sorry to cut your conversation short, but this little blue pincushion has some work to do for me. I’ve decided not to unleash Metal on আপনি quite yet, but just আপনি wait until I do. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Good-bye, Knuckles! Good-bye, শিয়াল boy!” He starts flying the hovercraft off, and as if Sonic can read my mind, he yells, “Don’t worry about me, Tails! If আপনি have time to worry, then run! Get the other Chaos Emeralds before Eggman does!”

    I wind up my tails and start to fly after them, but Knuckles grabs my leg and says, “No, Tails. Sonic is right. If we try to do anything now, it won’t help. We need to gather the Chaos Emeralds and stop Eggman from getting them. Only that will help Sonic.” I spin my tails faster to try and escape Knuckles’ grasp, but he won’t let me. “Sonic needs help right now!” I yell. I try getting free for a full minute, but I get exhausted, so I stop my tails and land in front of Knuckles. Knuckles sighs and says, “You know, you’re way too headstrong for your own good, and I swear it’s worse when Sonic’s in trouble.”
