Am I the only one that ships this " Romeo and Juliet" pair...

Tybalt and Juliet

it would have been interesting to see that romance play out. I personally think Tybalt loved her, and was jealous of Romeo which is why he hated Romeo আরো ( hard to believe) than Lord Capulet and all the other Capulets. It would have been possible too, for Tybalt to marry Juliet cause cousins married cousins, some still do to this day.- not as much obviously and people dont go around bragging about it. But it happens.

আপনি are not alone in this. I kind of do too. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure. What's interesting is that the fact of Tybalt hating Romeo আরো than any other Montague and to a greater extend than any other Capulet has also struck me as suspicious. I've also always wondered why Tybalt wasn't considered as a suitor for Juliet. As আপনি said, cousins did marry each other before, during, and a long time after Shakespeare wrote the play. I always thought it would have been interesting if she was engaged to Tybalt originally and was betrothed to Paris upon his death. The rush to secure Juliet's and the family's future would have motivated Lord Capulet to allow Paris to marry her. Have আপনি ever seen the musical Romeo et Juliette: de la Haine à l'amour? In this version of the story,Tybalt's character gets expanded. One of the ways it is expanded is দ্বারা having Tybalt obviously in প্রণয় with/fixated on Juliet. He has a song where explicitly states that he wants to get revenge on Romeo because he গাউন the woman he loves and is of course a dreaded Montague. This actually adds a lot of new elements to the Capulet family dynamic depending on production. In the Italian production,Tybalt is very obvious about his infatuation during the party scene. Lady Capulet notices this but pretends that she doesn't for the sake of appearances. This confirms what (I think) is implied in the original play:that Lady Capulet is an absentee mother who can't talk to her own daughter about anything too personal অথবা unpleasant. In the Hungarian production,Juliet tells Romeo that she is afraid of her cousin, possibly implying that she knows of his feelings and that they frighten her. It would explain why she is not as hesitant as she should be to leave her family. Imagine not only having parents that আপনি feel disconnected from, but also a cousin who আপনি know has obsessive feelings for you. It would make sense that she would want to leave with someone like Romeo: someone who is seems romantic, gentle, and completely removed from her family. In this version, there is also a conversation between Paris and Tybalt during the ball. Paris tells Tybalt that he asked for her hand in marriage even though she's quite young so another man won't get her first. Tybalt is obviously displeased. The additional arc defines several relationships that are left extremely vague in the original work. It is my hope that future versions will explore this idea a little,as well as other ideas that I think are also sub-textual. I think that Mercutio had romantic feelings for Romeo. Lady Capulet also seemed to have some sort of feelings for Tybalt. In my opinion, there were a great deal of subtext that Shakespeare couldn't add into his plays outright due to the restrictions and bias of his time. Sorry for rambling so much. I just find subtext(especially that in Shakespeare's plays) rather fascinating.
