i liked owl city like two freaking years ago and people are only JUST NOW starting to get into him. it bugs me-- i hate it when things i like get popular.

^^^Agreed, I remember when Owl City first started and I really liked them, but I didn't like their new album that much and then they got really popular and I was like wtf. And also Management, I've liked them since 2005 and now everyone is like "I love MGMT!" - the most annoying part is that everyone only knows them as MGMT when their original name was Management.

I barely pay attention to what's popular and what's not. I like what I like and I could care less whether or not anyone else likes it. If an artist I like gains popularity I usually feel good for them- if I notice that is. lol

I would be telling my friends or other people about this new band/singer I'm listening to and then they go away and download or buy the songs. They come back and say that they are massive huge fans and totally into their music.
I mean, puh-lease !!

sometimes, I think it is cool when i find one I love and no one knows them , makes them intimate to just me. But then again i want the artist to do well. I liked the Kings of Leon before they ever won a Grammy and were on repeat on the radio! I mean they had 4 albums before this one!

Paramore, Fall Out Boy & PATD. I don't like these bands too much but... where are the true fans???!

It used to, but I've gotten used to it and i'm happy that people like music that i like :) if it's good it should get the attention it deserves.

Why would I want to be their only fan? I want them to find success.

Its good to share the music with other people let people love the same music as jem- says if its good it should get the attention it deserves,so it doesnt bother me at all!
