Wheels of Evil – Part 10
Bon-Bon was fully aware of her triumph. She was the one who connected the dots. She took matters into her own hooves. And she succeeded. She orchestrated the events that led to the defeat of the metallic demon. She was proud of herself. Veeery proud. The three murders have stirred the clear water in Ponyville. But with the help of Caramel, she prevented the monster from taking even আরো lives. দগ্ধ শর্করা got his revenge. The town mourned over the loss of three ponies. It lasted for a while. But, life goes on. The life slowly returned to its normal flow.
Nopony found the remains of Christine. Nopony went there to put out the fire. Nopony goes into the Everfree. The forest claimed what was left of the car. The authorities could not explain the circumstances of the murders. The official version mentioned something about a drunk carriage driver. But Bon-Bon and a few others knew the truth. Their friendship blossomed under the shadow of disaster.
It seemed her relationship with Lyra survived the nightmare. It became even stronger. The turquoise unicorn came out of the haze. She did not seem to remember what happened. Bon-Bon felt no need to enlighten her. The dark influence Christine had on the blue mare faded. She’s destroyed… The thought filled Bon-Bon’s soul with cruel satisfaction. The kind only a mare can feel over the defeat of another. The car was a she. The beige earth টাট্টু knew.
But they made a fatal error. Literary. They have underestimated the power of Christine. They did not know, that once আপনি embrace Christine, she never lets আপনি go.

Lyra tossed and turned in her bed. In her dream, she was trotting through a dark forest. The unicorn knew it was the Everfree.
“What am I doing here?” she asks herself.
Her voice echoes strangely. There’s another sound. A veeery familiar sound... Some kind of deep rumble. She heard that sound before. Her golden eyes widen দ্বারা the recognition.
“Christine?”
There’s no response. The V8 engine purrs like a kitten. Lyra cannot see the car anywhere. But the rattle comes from nearby.
“Christine? Where are you?”
You abandoned me Lyra. The engine revs up.
The unicorn hears the deep feminine voice in her head. It’s soothing and threatening at the same time.
“No... I…”
You betrayed me… left me to be torn apart… The engine revs up.

Suddenly, four bright circles of light flash in the darkness. Christine springs at Lyra, like a hungry cougar. The mare’s কোট turns pale cyan blue in the evil white light.
“Wait…”
As the Fury gets closer, Lyra notices that the front is damaged. The grille is deformed into a cruel grin.
“Nooo….” Lyra moans helplessly and the last thing she sees is the metallic snarl of Christine.

And then there’s Christine. A mere skeleton. No tires, no windows, no seats… nothing. An unburied corpse. The Everfree has already started taking over. Green tendrils coil around the pile of আবর্জনা that was once Christine.
“No!!! No!!! Christine!” Lyra screams.
She can’t hear the voice in her head. The unicorn rushes to the Plymouth and strokes what’s left of the ঘোমটা gently.
“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t here for you! Who did this?!”
There’s no other sound beside her own sobs.
“Don’t worry, I’ll fix this!” Lyra declares and an idea forms in her mind.
She gallops into Ponyville. She knows only one stallion who could be able to help her.

“Very interesting. A car in Equestria!!! I wonder how it got here…” Dr. Whooves replies, rubbing his chin.

“Excuse me?”
“She. Not it. She. Her name is Christine.”
“Okay…” the brown stallion says and raises a brow.
